Gold Boom is a three reel, six payline video slot from the up and coming Slotland gaming. It features a kooky little character who wills on every spin; he also gets very excited when free spins and wins are awarded. That detonator isn't just for show either, pressing it will spin the reels. Sounds good doesn't it?
The slot includes a little Gremlin who pops his head out from the Gold Boom logo area from time to time. This area also lets out other animals such as flying bats and other creatures when wins are paid out on the reels.
The reels themselves are black in color and are encapsulated in a gigantic gold nuggets. This has been wired to blow and key information is included within the mechanisms. The quarter coin increments are shown on a pressure dial for example whilst the line bets are shown by small explosions to the side and top of the reels.
There are 8 different reel icons to look out for. These include orange gremlins, orange dynamite, orange shovels, purple diamonds, green sevens, green cherries, green lemons and gold bars.
The slot is operated by forcing the plunger down, which instead of letting off an almighty explosion simply spins the reels. You can also choose to use auto spins by pressing the arrow marked 100% on the right hand side of the screen.
Free spins are triggered once you have collected three diamond icons. You'll receive one icon each time three diamond icons appear on screen and will be given 3 free spins once the diamond meter is full.
The jackpot is awarded when three gold bar icons appear on one of the active paylines. This can also award the progressive jackpot if you are playing in ‘hi’ mode at the time; otherwise the standard jackpot will be paid instead.
Slotland has produced a slot worthy of its name here. Gold Boom is one of the best looking three reel slots around and comes with features usually reserved for five reel games. You can try it yourself using our free Gold Boom slot above; you can even rate it afterward.
