City of Gold is a 5 reel (non-progressive), 20-payline, Random-logic Video Slot. It comes with a wildSymbol, scatter symbol, free spin and has a maximum jackpot win of $30,000.
City of Gold is the latest Aztec themed video slot from Cryptologic gaming. The legends state that seven cities of gold still remain undiscovered, we guess this means this number can now be slashed to six ;-). City of Gold uses a five reel format, uses a wild symbol and provides the possibilities of scooping free spins.
City of Gold offers bespoke graphics from top to bottom, even the reel case has been styled to look like an Aztec temple peering through a dense jungle. All the buttons are placed beneath the slot with the logo taking position at the top.
The reel icons include 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, Idols/statues, jewelry, arch scatters and Aztec temples. These flash to mark a win and some even contain there own sound effects.
The slot does include sound effects but they aren’t overbearing and can by muted anyway, it’s simple additions like this that keep slot players happy.
The slot also allows gamblers to place a bet suitable for them. They range from 0.05 to £/$/€100 and are configured by adjusting the number of lines and coin value.
The Temple symbol is the most impressive on the slot and for good reason. It plays as the wild symbol which means it can step in for other symbols to create new winning combinations. The 6,000 coin jackpot is awarded if five of these symbols appear on an active payline.
Three or more Golden Archway symbols triggers 15 free spins. These play automatically and are accompanied by music. Incidentally this symbol also awards scatter wins when two or more appear in any location. Two, three, four or five archway scatters will pay 2x, 5x, 10x or 100x your bet respectively.
In summary we feel City of Gold is a decent slot, we’d have preferred a dedicated bonus game but can’t fault the smooth gameplay and excellent prizes on offer.
