Fantastic Four Slot Theme

Fans of the comics or films will know that four normal humans travelled to space only to return to earth as superheroes, changed by cosmic radiation forever. It’s this outer space setting which features as the background of the Fantastic Four slot.

Other references to the change in DNA markup is shown by a rotating double helix beneath the reels as well as morphing silhouettes in the bottom right. The story continues on the reels with various icons which feature either in the comic or films.

These icons include potions, spacecraft, tower blocks, logos, DNA chains, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, Mr Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, The Thing and Dr Doom. Each is drawn as if lifted right from an authentic Marvel comic, which is just as it should be.

Fantastic Four Slot Features

Some slots benefit from one wild icon, naturally this wasn’t good enough on this slot because it features five. Mr Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, The Thing and Dr Doom appear on reels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 accordingly. Each can substitute for all remaining symbols apart from the scattered 4 logo.

The reason why wilds cannot replace the scattered logo is because three or more will present the Fantastic Four Feature. In an unusual twist players are offered the choice of five different free spins features with a range of different spins and multipliers. Sticking with multiple theme, we were pleased to see the return of the three Marvel Hero jackpots which are awarded at random. The amount in each pot is shown above the reels marked Hero, Super Hero and Marvel Hero - each of which is progressively larger in size.

It’s difficult to find many weak points with what’s on offer here, perhaps it’s a little easier to point out what is possibly missing. We’d have preferred a dual with Dr Doom in some form of bonus round but have to admit the free spins options are way more in-depth than on other slots.
