City Life is a video slot which uses the cold, harsh environment of the streets for its theme. Gameplay occurs on five reels and players are able to place multiple bets on up to 20 paylines.

City life is set on the tough city streets and it seems to have affected the characters on the reels too who could be described as little weather warn. The slot is surrounded by a cityscape at night which includes cars, trash cans and the moon.

There are many different icons to watch out for. The designers have opted for a caricature theme for each one which instead of looking cutting edge has created a wax work effect for many of the icons. These include a crooked businessman, jewel thief, old lady, a dirty cop and a gang member. Other icons are item based and include hot dogs, handcuffs, briefcases filled with money and wilds.

It's not an ugly slot but it's not the best looking one around either. For us it's the characters which could look better, especially as they aren't animated.

The red neon sign, marked scatter, will award prizes when two or more appear in any position on the reels. If five of these appear you'll net an impressive 500 coins.

There are two wild icons to look out for. The regular one can appear on any reel and can substitute for any other icon except the scatter, bonus and X3 wild. The X3 wild has the same abilities but only appears on the middle reel; the key addition with this icon is that all wins created using it will be multiplied by three.

Three or more bonus icons will trigger the streetwise bonus game. You'll be faced with five street crooks who are attempting to con you. You choose items and if three identical ones are found will receive a bonus prize.

Our Take on City Life

If we're honest we found the graphics to be too rough and almost ugly in appearance. Despite this there are plenty of positive aspects to remember because players can choose from various bets, there are loads of features and prizes can reach $15,000. Whether you like it or not will depend entirely on your tastes.
