At first glance, you might think that the name of this game is a typo, but I assure you that it's not. You're thinking "Carnival" with circus freaks, wild rides, too much candy floss and pop and big teddy bear prizes. This is Carnaval, also known as Mardi Gras, the massive festival that goes down in the week before Lent.
Accordingly, all of the imagery used has an air of celebration about it. We have colourful banners, trumpets, masked dancers and painted clowns. Even the background music for this game continues the theme with cheerful carnaval music.
Having said that, my feeling is that what Microgaming have designed here is a slot title that gently removes some of the complexity found in any of the other titles. This is a game you want to play if you're a newcomer to the whole concept of multi line slots.
It can also be something to try out if you're a bit short stacked, because it only allows a maximum of nine coins on each spin. Betting starts at just five cents, too, although when you feel a bit braver you can ramp it up to a dollar.
The maximum possible jackpot on this game is 5,000 coins, which is nothing to sneeze at either. It has five reels and pays out on nine different lines, depending on how many you have activated on a given spin.
It does implement a wild symbol which is the Carnaval logo itself. You can use the wild symbol to complete almost any line, but it doesn't act as a multiplier in this game.
There's also scatter symbol, which to make things easy is simply labelled "Scatter." Three or more scatters kicks in an automatic win, but doesn't get you any free spins. However, the three scatters can be anywhere, on any reel, on any line, which does make things a bit easier.
All in all, a great game to try out while you find your online casino legs.
