The Hulk, as everyone knows, is a character from Marvel Comics who has been infected by some awfully complicated virus thingy or spider bite – no, wait, that's someone else. If left alone to mope he is your average emo scientist chap with an improbably attractive girlfriend.

It's not the most useful superpower ever, but it makes for spectacular special effects, and he now has 2 reasonably successful box office blockbusters to his name.

Cryptologic's adaptation of the Hulk to video slot form is predictably slick, and the result is extremely playable. I found myself giving it spins long after I had what I needed to get an objective review out of it - in fact the game ate the best part of an afternoon.

The graphics are a delight. You're not going to be overloaded with tie-in drama from the movies here, instead you'll be treated to more traditional scenes from the original comic books – I think purists will be delighted.

Technical specifics, then. This is a five reel game with nine paylines – a refreshing change of pace from the 25+ payline epics we're used to seeing.

You can play this game for as little as a penny or as much as $5, depending on how rich you're feeling. But personally, I'd urge you to lean towards the upper end of the betting range, for two reasons.

The first is, because the top payout on this game is 10,000 coins. At maximum bet that translates to $50,000, which is not pocket change by any means. But the second is that because this is one of the Marvel Superhero games, it contributes to three progressive jackpots which are networked across all Cryptologic casinos globally.
