Horse racing is a really hot topic at the moment, especially with hit TV series and films being made about the sport. This has caused an uprising of new video slots, including Gold Cup from CG TV games.
Gold Cup uses modern graphics themed around a day at the race course and includes several features such as wilds, scatters and a multiplying bonus game. Prizes are very competitive too with a 2,000 coin jackpot capable of awarding up to $8,000.
Gold Cup Sweepstakes uses a five by three icon layout which is enveloped in a horse racing scene. The slot uses CGTV's standard button console which makes it easy to configure without compromising on options.
The graphics all revolve around a day at the races. They include mixed rosettes, jockeys jerseys, horses, gold cups, helmets, A, K, Q and J designs. This means there's a good balance on the reels between bespoke and traditional icons.
The slot is configured by choosing a bet, bet per line and a number of lines. You can choose from a range of bets (0.01 to $1), use up to 5 coins on each line and opt for a maximum of nine lines which means total bets range from 0.01 to $100 per play.
The gold cup is wild with the jockeys jersey, pink/green/blue rosette, A, K, Q or J icons. It cannot therefore substitute for the helmet icon.
The Jockeys helmet icon is the only one which can award prizes in any position. You will need two to five of these icons in any position to create a win which can be as much as 500x your bet.
The hot pick bonus is triggered when one of three icon arrangements occurs naturally on the reels. You'll need either a four cornered square, diamond or cross on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels to win up to 80x your bet (check out the paytable for a full rundown of how this works).
Gold Cup Sweepstakes isn't the most compelling video slot around but does include wilds, scatters and the chance to win bonus multipliers. This ensures it remains entertaining, whilst the betting range is wide enough to include every level of gambler.
