About Dark Tombs

Dark Tombs is one of the latest generation slots from 36 Gaming. They've really upped their game on this one which includes bespoke visuals, music and sound effects. It also benefits from three different features with wilds, free spins and bonus game all counting towards prizes of up to $2,000.

Dark Tombs Theme

Dark Tombs is a cross between Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones as it includes computer console graphics and HD photographs all on one screen. The slot uses a five reel format with three icons on each reel at any one time.

Icons are tailored exclusively for this slot. They include sarcophagus', eagles, staffs, pyramids, dark tomb corridors, the Eye of Ra, Ankhs and various scenes of bodies being prepared for the afterlife (thankfully in a hieroglyphic style).

An anticipation building, and somewhat eerie, music track accompanies gameplay with several different sound effects signaling different wins and bonus features. This was an awesome touch on the designers part and really helped finish the slots visual and audible feel.

Betting Options and More Functions

Players an use a maximum of two coins per line which range in value from 0.01 to 0.10. This means each spin will cost at least 0.01 and at most $5 with a variety of choices between.

Dark Tombs Slot Features

The eagle icon is capable of replacing any other symbol except for the sarcophagus and Dark Tombs bonus icon. This actually works out pretty well and pops up fairly frequently to create more winning chances.

Three or more scatter sarcophagus symbols will trigger the free spin bonus feature. The neat thing here is that more free games can be won and played using the same value as the triggering bet - but you don't actually wager a thing.

Three or more Dark Tombs bonus symbols will trigger the unusual and entertaining bonus game. This presents a screen with hidden icons which you choose from to find matching pairs. Each correct pair awards a prize and you continue to keep picking until two collect icons have been found.

Our Take on Dark Tombs

36 Gaming has made a massive leap forward with this slot when compared to their earlier games. Graphics and gameplay are now top notch and features offer a clever spin when compared with competing slots.
