England - Carling Cup

20:45h (CET)   Arsenal v Wigan

                           Under2.5    /    Over2.5                      Gamebookers
                                 1.95     /     1.75

Arsenal managed to won Manchester after a series of three consecutive games without a victory.
Although they had problems with the composition of the team they still managed to play their best game
this season and acquire direct rivals for the title. The victory raised the morale of players who now look
with more optimism in the next game. In this Cup game will take rest the majority of players from the first
set. The results of the last 5 games on the domestic field are: won Porto with 4:0 (CL) and Everton with
3:1, played 4:4 with Tottenham Hotspur and 0:0 with Fenerbahce (CL), won Manchester United with 2:1.

Wigan, after a series of 4 defeats manage to won away Portsmouth with 2:1 and played 0:0 at home
ground with Stoke. The team started to play better in comparison to the previous period and in this game
they seek their chance in the fact that the host will play with the reserve team. Great handicap for the
team will be the absence of Emile Heskey. Skore on the last 5 away games are: played 0:0 with Tottenham
Hotspur, won Ipswich Town with 4:1 (League Cup), lost from Liverpool with 2:3 and with 0:2 from Fulham,
                         won Portsmouth with 2:1.

Host will be relieved in this game, but these events are just an opportunity for the players off the bench to
show their quality and to attempt to enter in the first team. Wigan don't have what to lose and they will
try to exploit the absence of several  Arsenal players and to achieve the goal that can provide a favorable
                         result for them.

                         My bet: over2.5                                                                                                                    Result: (1-0) 3-0

20:45h (CET)   Stoke v Rotherham

                             1          X           2                                         Gamebookers
                          1.60     3.50      6.00

Stoke City managed to achieve three consecutive victories on the domestic field and certainly the largest
of them is victory over Arsenal when they beat them with 2:1. The team is very well come upon us in
society of the best English clubs and they are currently on 12th position on the table. In the championship,
they have a solid score at home field from 4 victories and two defeats. Their primary goal is to stay in the
Premier League and Cup games can only serve to the team as much to drill and to attempt to go as far
as they can in this competition. In the last 5 games on the domestic field they recorded the following results:
played 2:2 with Reading (League Cup), lost from Chelsea with 0:2, won Tottenham Hotspur with 2:1,
Sunderland with 1:0 and Arsenal with 2:1.

Rotheram United is the team which plays in League Two and they are on 21th place. However, the team is
bad invested because of the fact that the 17 points deducted from them for financial irregularities.
In League Two, they have only three defeats this season and want to return to the top of the table.
The results of last five games away are: played 1:1 with Dagenham & Redbridge and 0:0 with Bournemouth,
won Bury with 2:1 and Macclesfield Town with 2:1, with Aldershot Town played only 1:1 (Cup).

Stoke is a lot better team and can be expected to play seriously, regardless of the issue Cup match.
They want to continue a series of good results on the domestic field. On the other hand, Rotheram is aware
that they will play against the Premier League team. However, they are optimistic because this is not the team
that is standard in this society and they hope to achieve a favorable result. Host should not have a lot of
problems with the team from a lower rank and to be placed in the next round of this competition.

                        My bet: 1                                                                                                                        Result: (1-0) 2-0
