IN fact, I did consider this. I have TRA benefits ( I was laid off) and believe it or not, the position of "Dealer" (Can fit many sections of casinos) is an "In Demand" job!

Plus, near me is a 12 week school I could go to (I may consider it if I don't get employed in 2.5 months) for training. I did contact several casinos (Indian) and asked them if this would help.

They (OK, just one responded) said "We hire and train our own people. However, any training should have CRAPS training as a base".

Seems the casinos are hot for dice people. So, that's my contribution to this thread.

You know I have been thinking of changing careers..I am really getting a deja vu we had this conversation already, anyway...I am so high up right now, no one wants to pay me with this economy.  I am getting offers of half my salary in some instances..it is a horror show.  I was seriously considering renting out a little store downtown and turning it into a penny candy/ retro toy store...like you said doing something you like.
I NEVER thought CASINO!  I would l LOVE that!  The pay isn't too bad either.  Great idea as always!
