Hiya Poker Players,

I was just watching poker on TV tonite and this hand blew my mind!! I am curious to know what players would of done.

A player catches a flush on the river...with a A A Q Q on the board. The other player had two pairs and goes all in. The player with the flush mucks his hand!!!

Would you fold your hand with a flush on the river? By the way the player that folded was none other than Phil Ivey!!!

Of course....if you are reffering to Texas Holdem, then all you apponent needs to have in his hand is an Ace or a Queen......I find it strange that Plil Ivey would chase that down to the river.....unless the river card is the card that put 2 pairs on the board...............you didn't specify that one!!

So what was the pair the guy that went all in was holding?  It would have had to be KK for him to make a move like that.

What was the play leading up to the river?  Checking or min betting?  It is relevant.

would i lay down the flush?Huh? dam right i would, but i wouldn't of been chasing the flush with a board like that. or even if i hit the flush on the flop i would still fold. you say he had 2 pair, but theres 2 pair on the board!! maybe im missing something, well it is early morning here in the uk!!  Tongue

The only thing the player had was two pair on the board....he was bluffing out Phil Ivey to make him think he head a full house.

The last Q did not hit the board until the river. Of course both of them had two pair on the board. The player did not come in for the kill till the river card going all in. Phil folded his flush...thinking the guy i had a full house.

Well if I was holding the flush, I prob would have folded but I certainly would have been in two minds about it thats for sure.
