In some games you are inevitably going to be short stacked and to me this is a bigger challenge which I truly enjoy when I find myself in this position purely and simply because it makes me a better player.
I was thinking about a game some time ago where I was down to 26 chips - can't remember the site I was on - and it was a sitngo. There were 7 players left including me and to say that I thought I was going to be history is quite an obvious statement. However, I always think of "chip and a chair" and the fact that in poker, anything is possible.
Amazingly (and I can't remember the hands) I fought back and ended up winning the game - finishing in first position and taking the top prize.
The point of this post - don't give up just because you are short stacked. If you have a chip and a chair - anything is possible!!!
Got any "chip and a chair" experiences??

Wow, good job. I've had some good comebacks on the Merge network when I've been down to less than 1 blind--like 10 chips or so. Because 1) people misplay hands and 2) there aren't antes on those sites, which is silly, I think.

It is true when I am low on chips my concentration head comes on and I grind in and pull chips back, Thus I tend to play better when I am low on chips than when I have alot of chip my gambling head comes on and I can flutter alot away. Also when you are the short stack You can get people who have their gambling heads on who play hands against you which you have a more chance of winning if you know what i mean.

Yes I know exactly what you mean - they play hands that they would normally play in the hope that they can take you out of the game.
I agree with you about concentrating more - I do play better with a short stack (usually) unless the fish <((< are out.

Well i was sorta chip and chair. I was down to .40 in my account. So i decided to play the .10 tourney. It was a rebuy for .50. I couldnt even come up with that! I played really tight. Waiting for that really good hand. As it turns out...with close to 3,000 players in...i made it to the final table! On a .10 buy in i walked away with 75.00!
Now that was really pure luck and a chip and chair mentality!
