Hi gang:
Oh, your day is starting badly, your running late and rushing to work in your car.

You fly by a a cop car going in the opposite direction, and sure enough you see the lights flash in your rear view mirror.  He/she makes a big u turn, and is on your tail.

You pull over resigned to your fate, as you get those thoughts of just "How fast was I going officer?"

I have been pulled over many times in my driving years. Sometimes I got tickets, sometimes I didnt.  Most of these times I was much younger than I am now.

The worst ticket I ever got was for going 85 in a 70. Now you know how they always knock it down a notch or two for you cause they want to appear nice?  I was actually told I was going 93 in a 70.  WHOOPS.  Shocked

I had a little snazzy truck at the time, V6, and raring to go .  I was also going somewhere that I really wanted to be at too. haha So I didnt give him any excuses, or try to appear stupid to the fact. (I have never had much luck playing that role with police)

I sat there while he wrote the ticket back inside his car,  recieved it, and was on my way.

OUCH. The fee was over $100 and it added points to my license, so my insurance went up.

Whats the worst speeding ticket you ever got?

Hi PMM,

I am not so much of a speeder......although i did get a ticket a couple months back for going over 20. My real problem is not making complete stops at the stop sign! The sad thing is i think i am stopping. Well isn't almost stopping.....less than a mile an hour count?

So Lips, you are not exactly stopping, your pausing. hahahahah

Thanks for the reply.... Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I have been pulled over once about five years ago and I was really lucky...
I begged him to give me a break  since I have been a good girl and blah blah...
He let me go without giving me a ticket...how lucky!!!  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Nice post Pam, yes i have been pulled over, but to my luckiest luck never got a ticket, or crashed or anything while speeding. I don't know why i didn't get tickets, always got the lecture and warning to slow it down. Yes now i do the speed limit, it didn't take a ticket to slow me down. Its seeing what speed can do... BUT the newer cars can cause this... get in them, you're flying 70 through a 40, don't even know it!

This was funny. I got nailed for doing 41 in a 25. 2 days after being nailed, I drove this road again..I noticed something that was worth trying in court. I appeard, pled "Not guilty" they gave me a court date and time.

Judge showed, cop showed I showed and then showed a film I had taken of the road and area.."There is NO 25MPH sign your honor as required by law" was my defense..."Agreed, not guilty" the judge said. Cop laughed told me even he didn't notice that and 2 weeks later, signs went up...

Last time I was stopped, 64 in a 55 in Iowa and cop didn't cite me, just gave a stren warning....Yeah, I could have slaughtered a tumbleweed in that area of the state...Tongue

I used to get 'em all the time. Got 3 in one day while driving home from college one time. On the last one, the cop noticed a little folded up yellow piece of paper on the passenger seat and said, "what's that?". "That's a speeding ticket". "Lemme see it."
I don't think he even asked for my liscence. He just copied all the info from that ticket to the new one and let me go.

The worst was probably doing 111 in a 45 at about 3:00 in the morning. I also ran a few stop signs in my neighborhood before he caught up to me. Needless to say, he was not happy. My face saw the underside of his foot and the pavement shortly thereafter.
