There are some that would go through any antic, say anything else, do anything by not spilling the truth beans and come out with it.. they'd peel off their figernails, light their toes on fire, sandpaper their knees, walk on tacks, dive into a cactus before they would ever admit to things, they won't admit to diddly squat! What causes it? Why won't the truth be told? Shame and embarrassment? Some of the things people say to cover up things they done are worse then the actual act of whatever they did.

She fell down outside.. oh wait.. no.. a ghost did it.. really.. it was ghost..

A Wisconsin man, who claimed a ghost beat his wife, was arrested Sunday. Michael West told Fond du Lac police officers that an apparition was responsible for the brutal assault on his wife Rebecca West, not him.

On January 18, 2012, police responded to an emergency 911 call to the residence of Michael and Rebecca West. Upon arrival, police met with the woman, who claimed that her husband had attacked her without provocation.

According to a report from the Christian Post, responding officers observed that the woman was bleeding from her mouth, and had abrasions and other bruises all about her body. They also noted that blood droplets were all around the residence and on the woman's clothing.

When police questioned Michael West, 41, he initially said that the woman had fallen outside. However, when police prodded him more on the injuries of his wife, he said "a ghost did it."

Not convinced by the apparition story from the Wisconsin man who made the claim that a ghost beat his wife, police attempted to arrest Michael West. However the man put up a struggle while Fond du Lac officers tried placing handcuffs on his wrist.

Reportedly, during their attempts to place the man in custody, West used profanity toward officers, and resisted arrest. One officer even stated she believed West was trying to spit on her.

Police later determined that the man was intoxicated, as evidenced by the smell of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech. This could only explain the bizarre behavior exhibited by the man making the ghost claim.

The domestic disturbance, according to Rebecca West, was fueled by an argument over finances. In the incident report, it is noted that the couple were facing foreclosure of their home.

I know that domestic violence is a serious matter and in this case she was not badly hurt.. but..When i read these kinds of things, these idiotic excuses and lies.. i imagine the faces of the person it being told to, being a professional they can't just burst out in laughter.. or turn around and punch the guy in the face.. "a ghost beat my wife up"...

They can turn around and hit him in the face! All they have to say is that the ghost pushed their arm which caused their hand to bunch up in a fist and unfortunately the man's face was right there and with the ghost pushing them they could not help it...

I really hate these people that use violence to "solve" domestic confrontations. Unfortunately alcohol seems a common denominator in most such cases.

So true i think most of these case are influenced by alcohol, drugs or they grew up being abused or watching their mothers abused.

I know this is a little off topic but some of the biggest serial killers of our time had issues growing up and were victims of abuse.

Violence just fuels more violence and there really should be more education in the school system to help kids deal with this and understand it so they don't grow up being an abuser themselves.

Interesting article imagin.
