Never mind fast foods, American Idol or drugs, the real addiction afflicting more U.S. consumers than ever is to their CELL PHONES.
What if you were asked to give it up? Could you?  How about your E-mail?
Tuff to even fathom isn't it? Ever had your internet go down for a day or two? Think your going to die right there?

Here's my personal "can't live without it" list in order of importance to me:

Internet (I'd sooner die than go without.) Wink
Email  (Take it away and shoot me now) Huh?
Cell phone (Really dont want to but if I absolutley had too) Embarrassed
Landline ( Totally could live without) :Smiley
BlackBerry or wireless email device (Dont own one) Smiley
Television....(I never watch it) Shocked

 How does your list compare?

Internet  (I did without it for nearly 1 YEAR. BUt I didn't NEED it as I do now, but I could get by)  Tongue

Email  (Kind of falls into Internet, same thing, not as badly needed then as now)

Cell phone (That saved my ass as that was my only means to contact employer. If I had an apt, then I wouoldn't mind losing it as I'd go to landline)

Landline ( I do without it now)  Kiss

BlackBerry or wireless email device (Dont own one and if I see a bum with one, I don't give them anything!)  Angry

Television....(I only get local channels and mainly use it for DVD rentals. I get the news on the net) Grin

Internet has to be number one. Next would have to be Friday and Saturday night cocktails. Ohhhh my phone is beyond needy. Give me those three things and i will be happy!!

It's the simple pleasures in life. I'm not really asking for much!!!

Leaving the house and your miles away and THEN you realize you forgot your phone.

It's like you just lost your dog or best friend.

Hmmmm...I'm looking at all these replies and looks to me like you guys need some hobbies!!  [lol, just kidding......kinda  Wink ]
On a serious note, I don't even own a real cell phone, just a prepaid one for emergencies [which wouldn't even help me a bit considering the fact that I have not seen it in over 3 weeks], I could go without internet as long as I had tv, I could go without tv as long as I have internet....if both go out, then I'd just go out and do something like play pool, bowling, movies, bars...ect, if I'm broke then card games will work just fine....I love phase 10, and skipbo.....and if all else fails   I'LL JUST GO TO BED!!
