This weekend I shared a room with my Brother and Sister in law at a hotel. It was a Suite, complete with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
We had been drinking and reminiscing about family, old times, and old laughs. It was a wonderful night in all and finally we headed off to our rooms. About 3am, I was awakened by what sounded like a frieght train. A second later I was sure someone had started a Harley Davidson right there in my hotel room.  Tongue
I run out to the small living room, and see my sister in law sitting on the couch.
"My Gawd, whats that noise?" I asked. As soon as I asked it, reality hit me, and I realized what it was.
               My brother was snoring.
How can one snore like that and sleep thru it. I mean this snore was rattling the windows and I swore he was sucking in the drapes with every breath.
We did what we could to drown out the obxious noise by turning on the television and all the fans in the place. I know I fell back to sleep, pillow held in place over my ears but morning came all to soon when one is not getting the sleep they require.

Has anyone else ever been awakened by a snorer?  I had to laugh, or I might of cried that night.

Hmmm..One night we'd just moved into our 3rd home my Mother had bought (She was renting out #2) and so we're all asleep in the living room. About 1 am I am awakened by a weird sound.

It came again and then slightly changed...After a few anxious moments, the snore was interrupted by my Mother snorting and saying something to one of her brothers (They were in the south though) and so I realized my Mother was doing those noises.

I went back to sleep, kind of smiling.

I later spoke with her about it. She'd always snored and sometimes I'd come home from work, she'd be making dinner and I'd sit back and snooze till then.

More then once she told me I was cutting some heavy duty logs while sitting there!

Now here's a different thing, more like I was thinking you would be posting about.

I had occasion (Once thank you) to spend a weekend with a bunch of people I barely knew in Wisconsin. I was hooked up with a internet group and we were going to have a Halloween party at one couples place.

So, I left PDX for WI and the flight was so-so (Mild turbulence) and I was a tad "Concerned" till suddenly I heard a sound.

"Whhoeeee" "Whhoooeee" (High pitched noise)

Naturally, being male I didn't dare let off screams of fear, but I about did it there in the seat.

Well, the sound stopped and I so wondered (after 20 minutes of deep breathing) what the heck was that sound.

I landed and was met at the gate by the people and we had a good time that weekend. So, once again (I wished we had faster buses) I took to the air. Now I'm sort of corked now, yeah booze filled me. I then find I need to go or burst. I then make it to the bathroom (I was so tempted to smoke) and did it.

I then flushed.

"Whhhooeeee".."Whhooeeee" Damn, I laughed the rest of the way back home...Damn!

thankfully my boyfriend doesn't really snore.....but the few times he does i kick, or elbow him until he stops....aka wakes up!! Of course I pretend to be sound asleep....also when I was a kid my dad had the loudest snore i've ever heard...it would wake me up in my room which was at the other end of the hall.....and every night I would go in his room and wake him up to tell him to stop snoring because i couldn't sleep.....lol, he used to get soooooo mad at me for waking him up all the time....yeah and when i said every night, I meant at least 2 or 3 times...EVERYNIGHT!
