What would you do

I was wondering what you would do if your doctor had to fill out a very, very important form for you and the front office comes up with different excuses as to why it is not done. I do not want to cause trouble (i have been going there 13 years) but if they do not fill out the paper it is not good. I have been seeing my doctor longer then the new staff has been employed there. The paper has been faxed 12 times and i get the excuse, The paper is being faxed blank and also the doctor will take a look and fill it out as soon as possible, back to the excuse, the papers are blank. Some of you guys know the ordeal i am dealing with but for personal reasons i am not going to go into detail. The people who are faxing the paper for me even tried to call but only answering machine and no calls back. They even marked the msg urgent call. This would help me beyond measure for this paper to be completed and faxed back.Any advice PS i am considering going into the office and showing them just how upset i am but i do not think that would be for the best  . I usually am able to hold my tongue(most times that is) but in this i am literally boiling  >:D mad.

Rena,if they continue to give you the run around then yes I'd go to their office.There is really no reason for them to continue to jerk you around.You are a long standing patient of theirs so they need to do their job and do you right!!

That certainly not the way to treat a long standing patient. I don't know for how long that's been going on, but perhaps you should just go directly to the office and see what is going on there.

I am not very good at conflicts, but I would go ballistic, go there and make a scene in front of other patients.  And if I was really keen to keep that doctor, I would just make sure he hears me out. Hmm, on the second thought, I would go nuts all over....
I really, really hope you will get it done ASAP!

What would I do? I would go there and make a scene, yelling and swearing (lol, i'm a guy.. that's what guys do:). That's an unacceptable way to treat a patient, even if you're going there for 1 year, not to mention 13 YEARS. Give it one more shot like you did before, and if it still doesn't work, my strong advice is to go directly there and ask what is happening and why do they treat you like that. Good Luck and I hope your problem gets sorted out ASAP.

I'd probably get a copy of the blank form from wherever you can get a copy from, take it to the docs, see the doc and ask him to fill it in there and then and ask him to ask his assistants to do it immediately and then watch them do it.

Not sure if any of that is possible Rena but if it is, just do it. 

I went in today blue and i did ask them to fill the paper out and fax it back. The problem seems the wrong paper is being faxed. I wish i could get the form and hand deliver it but i can not. I will try again tomorrow.  Too much of a headache right now. Thanks everyone for your advice. It really did help.

Sorry you're having such a tough time Rena.  I hope it's sorted very soon.

            I work in the healthcare field Rena and can tell you the worst form of corruption (IMO) is incompetence !  I'm assuming this has something to do with insurance?  If you don't get  satisfaction from the office see if you can go over their head.  I've lost it in offices before but you know what--they had it coming.  You can only be polite up to a point.  I can understand one mistake but that's it.  It's their
(pardon my French)  @#$%^&*  job they should know what to do.  I wouldn't feel bad about complaining directly to the doc.  he may be able to get things moving.  Good Luck Rena.

That's terrible, that would send me over the top. I commend you for being so patient. Hopeful you going in helps to speed up the process.

This is why I ask my veterinarian to heal my ills.

I hope you can get the right paper you need Rena. It would of helped a whole lot from the get go if the office would of told you this without going through all this unnecessary frustration. I hope you can get it squared away soon and i wish you the best.

I think I would insist for them to fill the paper in front of me and give it to me, no faxing or mailing....
