More than 95 percent of all births took place at home.

We have improved our way of living and standards materially.

I found some of them pretty amazing... but I am with you in wondering if it will be better or worse... I am hoping that in the next century people will finally learn enough to stop all the waste of lives and minds that we see in the world today... to turn all of this knowledge to saving this planet and humanity... Thanks for the facts Katt, they are very interesting. One thing comes to mind after reading all that: dentists are making a hell lot more these days

Had to of been some very very patient people 100 years ago.. i probably would of had a 1000 speeding tickets.. saying screw this and floored it
