  • Witches’ Digits Cookies

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
    1 1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
    1 egg
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    2 teaspoons almond extract
    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Red decorating gel
    1/2 cup sliced almonds
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and extracts. Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Divide dough into fourths; cover and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes, or until easy to handle and shape into fingers.

Remove one piece of dough from refrigerator at a time, roll quickly into 1-inch balls (15 balls per quarter portion of dough), and then shape balls quickly into 3-inch by 1/2-inch fingers, tapering the finger tips very slightly. Using the flat tip of a table knife, make an indentation on the finger tip for a fingernail. With the unsharp edge of a knife, make two sets of three slashes on each finger for knuckle areas (consult your own finger for accuracy!). Using knife held vertically, score bottom end of finger, to create ragged “torn off” look.

Place fingers 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 5-10 minutes, and then squeeze a small amount of red gel on nail bed, outlining edge of nail bed. Press a sliced almond over gel for nail, allowing gel to ooze around nail. (Choose well-shaped almonds and turn them so the whitest side is facing up.) For maximum gross-out effect, squeeze a bit more red gel to decorate the bloody stump end of the finger. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

    Makes about 60 cookies.
  • Spider Deviled Eggs

Make your favorite deviled eggs recipe and cut black olives in half for spider body and then in thin strips for legs!
  • This one is actually kinda of creepy. Make your favorite cheese ball, shape it into face and cover with thinly sliced ham for flesh and olive slices for the eyes.

  • That ham and cheese face is horrible - probably a little too "robot like".  Great thread Lips.

  • lmaoooooo i know it has to be one of the most horrible looking i agree!

  • I love the Deviled Eggs idea! I found this thread 2 hours ago and I have been Pinning Halloween Treats this whole time! Pinterest makes me a  >:$ >:$  ... I am gonna be so  sleepy sleepy at work this afternoon... TGIF

  • Stuffed Halloween Peppers. These are so cute i think i will make them today!

    6 orange bell peppers
    1 lb beef, Ground
    1⁄2 cup onion, Chopped
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, diced
    1⁄2 cup long grain rice
    1⁄2 cup water
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese, Shredded (about 4 ounces)

Cut tops from  peppers; discard seeds, membranes and  carve triangles for eyes and jagged line for mouth with sharp pointy knife..
Chop enough of the tops to make 1/4 cup, set aside.
Cook the whole peppers, uncovered in boiling water for about 5 minutes; invert to drain well.
Sprinkle insides of peppers lightly with salt. In a skillet cook ground beef, onion and 1/4 cup chopped pepper till meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
Drain off excess fat. Add undrained tomatoes, uncooked rice, water, salt, Worcestershire, and a dash of pepper.
Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes or till rice is tender.
Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Place in a 10x6x2 baking dish.
Bake, covered in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

  • Dracula Donuts

If only I was scared enough NOT to eat them!  (RR)

  • Those are so cute froggy!

  • Glow in the Dark Punch

Juice or soda blend of your choice like equal parts fruit punch and lemon-lime soda.
    Green food coloring
    Dry ice
    Water
Two punch bowls of different sizes.

Mix together juice or soda party punch. Add green food coloring for the gross factor!
Keep adding the coloring until you achieve the color you like.

Fill the bottom of the larger serving bowl with water and several chunks of dry ice. Place the smaller serving bowl inside the larger bowl (on top of the water and dry ice) and fill with your punch.

To make this punch ahead of time, mix the punch and food coloring before your party and store it in the fridge. When you're ready to serve, complete steps 2 and 3.
