Hi Gang:  Smiley

Before leaving the office for the evening, you slip a ballpoint pen into your pocket or grab a stack of computer paper for your printer at home.

No big deal. Everybody does it, right?

The most common items that mysteriously disappearing from offices include pens, staplers, scissors, tape and batteries.

Taking office supplies has become a "borderline" offense in society, similar to driving over the speed limit on the freeway.

What about our members here? Anyone guilty of this? Laugh out Loud

I used to work in an office setting. I think the worst I ever ending up doing was bringing pens home.  Also, we had a promotion one day, and we all got these Polo shirts to wear for the day, but were supposed to return them. Well about a year after I stopped working for the company I was going thru some old clothes, guess what? I found that polo shirt. haha.....

Interested in hearing your views.....

I worked for Nike as I was called over to the apparell section for a "Fit Test" and they draped 5 shirts on me, looked them over and then after I was done, said "Take the shirts with you"

But I took pens quite often, but then again (At Nike) I was in....Office replenishment!!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

I have a 'thing' for office supplies.  I can't resist a new pen.  There is just something about a new clean notebook, yummy.  I am certainly guilty for 'bringing work home with me' Smiley   But not for quite a while now, mostly when I was younger.  And I never took a stapler.

I've never worked in an office. I used to work in film/television and we would have something known as craft services...basically a buffet of junkfood on set for snacks. I cant tell you how many packs of gum, starbursts, redbull, and M&M's I took back home with me,  it was criminal!

I used to be a makeup artist for a well known show in Las Vegas..I used to take the makeup home with me all the time, it was like stage makeup and I specialized in special effects makeup so it would save me alot of money cuz that stuff is expensive Laugh out Loud...my boss was pretty cool about it.

As you might know I work for a cleaning company. Oh there are lots of things I wish I could take home. Industrial strength spot remover, Heavy duty cleaning solvent, which would be mighty handy around the house in case one of my animals has an accident.  Wink

One lady that works for me takes home all the small rolls of toilet paper that are too small for us to use anymore.  That made me laugh at first, but hey, times are tuff, and we were just going to throw them out anyways. Someone might as well use them.  I dont know of anyone else that wants them. They are the cheap and ruff as sand paper type toilet tissue.

So one day I see that the rolls she is taking are slowly getting bigger and bigger.  Pretty soon they begin to look like full rolls.  I had to gently remind her what she could and couldnt have.  Laugh out Loud
