blueday.....Well, you put the question to me. First, where prostitution exploits minors or is a part of the world wide "human trafficing" problem, I feel it is a vile practice. In such case, the law should put forth a heavy hand.
But....I am very libertarian. Two consenting adults should be allowed to engage in "commerce" of any kind.
Way back when I was married, I certainly "paid" for sex. Oh, it wasn't the cash-and-do-the-deed variety, but often wives figure out how to get gifts/items by using sex. For fun years ago, I figured out (generally) what each sexual encounter cost. Figuring housing, cars, gifts, cash, etc....I figured each act of intercourse cost me about $2500 as a MARRIED man.
Now, compare that to: Me sliding a couple of black chips to a sweet, very pretty professional woman. I have no desire to get married, or have a serious relationship. I don't need the drama of a woman in my life right now!!!! So, for a little bit of coin, I can have my needs met, have an interesting chat, and not have to worry about having to cuddle, go visit her parents, go shopping, or listen to any bitching. In fact, I can leave the basketball game going on the TV, sound turned up!
