Presidents Day - Who was your Favorite?
« on: February 20, 2012, 09:19:26 AM »
Hiya Guys and Dolls,

It's Presidents Day and some lucky ducks got the day off from work! Remember not to check your mail boxes today.

Would be fun to hear what everyone's fav President is/was not just from the US but members from other countries too.

Mine was def the JFK the Camelot era. Have always been intrigued with Jackie Kennedy too. I know if i could ever sit down with anyone and have a convo with them it would be her. I found her to be fascinating as well as JFK.

What is your fav president?

I think Reagan is the American favorite. He sure did have a lot of charisma and was a very good president.

Reagan is my favourite as well, even though I'm not American. His decisions had a positive influence on many other countries.

Ronald Reagan. yes he tripled the govt, he did do some dealing in the Iran-Contra affair, but mostly as he believed in America. The dreams of the common man for a better life he held them up and praised them. He encouraged giving and he was just so likeable.

I have to say that Ronald Reagan was also my favourite.  He seemed to be a very caring person although being an "outsider", I'm only going on what I saw.

I have to go with George Washington... he had the good sense to be born, albeit 220 years before I did, on February 22! They used to give us his birthday out of school, before it was joined with Lincoln's birthday and became President's Day... boy I felt SPECIAL having the day off every year on my birthday!

History used to be my favorite school subject so I read a lot about pretty much everything. I can't remember why exactly but Abraham Lincoln stuck in my head. Probably because of the way he was murdered.
