Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into viewers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. No other details were given.

Very sad news indeed.
I had no idea that he had cancer or that he had even died.
Thanks for the information Genenco.

Oh noooooooo.....he fought so damn hard to beat it. Heartbreaking news...he was so full of life. Even through the struggle he worked on a TV show.
He will be missed....deepest sympathy to his wife and family.

He actually outlasted some predicitons of less then 6 months.
I wasn't a big fan of his and then I saw "Ghost" and wish he could have done a few more like that one. He really seemed to be actually experiencing the emotional trauma and such.

Maybe now he can make more( movies like Ghost)! Not ..... I'm sorry, even funny. I guess I'm still mad he didn't marry me, I had a big crush for awhile. He didn't even know me and I can't dance. Such a loss.
