You don't have to go thru that at all.

When you post a reply message, there is a little plus sign on the bottom left corner of the page that reads Additional Options, it is underlined.

Click on that.  It gives you a couple of smiley options, and an attachment option,

Just browse your computer for you pic, and attach simply right there.
