Hi Gang:
              Happy Sunday!!!

Unless you live in a huge mansion nestled deep within a rustic, 500-acre plot, odds are that you've had to deal with a noisy neighbor at one time or another. Whether you’re complaining to the guy in the next apartment who blasts jazz at 1 a.m. or the folks in the adjacent house who have all-night summer cookouts.
The latter of what I just mentioned is my delemia for today.

My usually quiet neighborhood has been rampaged by  new tenents in a rental house adjacent to my back yard.  This family really likes to live it up.  It matters not if it is a Monday or a Saturday, these folks are out in their backyard, music blaring, and kids a screaming.  They have cookouts, with many a friend, till wee hours of the morning.   I'm afraid the only relief in sight is when winter comes and we are all once again bound indoors.
I am not an unreasonable person. I know we all want to enjoy what is left of Summer as much as we can.  I certainly do my best to muffle the noise as best I can while indoors, but it is still bothersome.  Perhaps my next step is to go and talk to my neighbors and see if that helps.  However from the looks of some of these people, I am far from comfortable with that idea.  :-\

Anyone else have any stories about noisy neighbors?

I feel so blessed to be where I am. sure some kids screaming, playing and such.

PLus, I've lived in places where the "Next Door " neighbor was 1/2 mile away Cheesy

OK, to the point now.

PMM, In these times, you can be as like butter and cream to people who are like this and odds are, they'll spit in your face, say "I'm here, deal with it" or even worse, including throwing garbage in your backyard.

It's the age on "Entitlement" and as such they get what they want and damn the rest of the neighborhood.

Take some heavy duty patient pills and pray they move or something.

well....I have to admit...with 4 kids and two dogs....I am the "noisy neighbor!"  But, we live in a neighborhood of 5 acre sites, so I don't think I bother anyone.  Well, no one has complained.  If we lived in a more dense situation, I would certainly control things better.

Well I must admit "WE" also are "noisy" but.......we live on a dead-end street, and all of our neighbors are around our age 40 plus and are all "noisy" right along with us! We actually take turns visiting each others house and once a year, we actually block off the street for our annual BLOCK party!!!!!!(which is coming up!) We were very lucky to find our happy home with neighbors who like to have fun just like us!!!!!! We live in the Adirondacks so we enjoy all year round activities......we even snowmobile "ALL" together........surrounded by nothing but FUN!!!!!!!!! You might be glad you are not our neighbor but it's a nice place to visit......even if only for one night! Party on my friends Grin

i lived in a place for a while where it was REAL bad, and everyone was in everyones business..it was horrible.  glad i'm outta there.  i feel for you.
the only noise i have now, (and i complain)  are these crow..ar ar ar..all day long ....ar..ar..ar..i really want to grab the .22, and blow their heads off, but there are neighbors that might get hit.  and these rotten crows had babies this year, now there are lots of squaky buggers...but at least they shut up at night.  i like my peace and quiet, so i would be going crazy if i were you.
