So we have this really tall (about 5 feet now) cactus that seemed to appear out of now where in the front of our house.  From what I'm told they only show up or grow every 10 years and it means you're going to have lots of luck.  The landlords said the 20 years they lived here they never saw it and this is the first year we've lived in this house.

I live in Michigan and only see Cactus' in pictures. lol

Could you take a pic of it so we can see it?

How fast does a cactus grow anyways?  Five feet seems large to me, will it get alot bigger?

Growing up around alot of cactus, between Las Vegas and now in Arizona, I never heard that..Just goes to show ya..you learn something new everyday. Hope it brings you lots of luck!!!!  Wink Kiss

I'm very interested to see your cactus, and what an very nice story to read!!

I never heard of that either, living in Vegas.. cactus seems to be what alot of people choose for landscaping. Mostly the flat shrubbery kind with the long needles (pain in the foot lol) i got a few. I love that commercial "Don't Touch the Shaqtus"

Wow...that is a some awesome looking cactus...
Just moved to the area full of cactus and wind dust(desert), I really miss my old home where there is plenty of views of flowers, trees, oceans everywhere...I don't think I will ever enjoy this dry place...
Tried to make at home, I planted so many flowers and vegetables but I doubt they will grow good...just trying for a miracle I guess...
