I ran across subliminal advertising and it blew my mind at the hidden sexual connotations that are in these ads. Some of them are in ads that should have no relevance to sex at all.

Seems this has been going on for decades as this early ad shows:

This is from a phone book that was later pulled........

Looks harmless enough but lay that phone book down and look at it from a different angle and here is what you would see..

This ad for Soloflex looks harmless enough.......

Look a bit closer.........

This boxer ad looks innocent enough....

Oh my......... Whistle

This Coke ad says a mouthful .....

This one is well, just down right obvious!

Even candy........Look where the "S" is placed........

Which reminds me didn't Cool Cat Casino have a code similar to this : 100bonuSexplosion  Whistle

There are a ton out there including Disney ads!

Do you think the things our subconscious is seeing is having an effect on the way we think or feel?

I remember the subliminal ads during the "intermission" at the cinema when I was a kid (only because they were highlighted as subliminal some years later) but these are way further advanced.

They surely are an eye opener Lips.  I don't know if they have affected how I think or feel as I've probably not even noticed the subliminal part of the ad.  Makes me wonder how much there is out there in the advertising world.,

I think it must have some effect... but, I don't really see how they could make me buy something using this method... but, somebody thought this up long ago and it has been studied and tested and I am sure it is still done all the time... to me that means it must work to some degree. Seems to me I remember some advertisers getting their butts in a sling over this kind of thing at some point...

Thanks for bring this to the forefront Lips.  There was a dust-up years ago about the word "sex" during the middle of The Lion King, but I never knew it could be this widespread.  Very disturbing.

Subliminal ads are banned in some European countries, the only problem is that the commissions that analyse the ads might not get the hints on every occasion Smiley However, I think that subliminal ads should be banned, they are playing with the consumer's mind trying to make him or her buy something that he or she might not even need at all.
