Also most poker sites off free play money...that is probably your best way to learn. As far as video poker..your dealt 5 cards...hold the cards you want to keep and hit draw. If your not familiar with what makes a poker hand here is a the list according to rank:

Royal Flush: A K Q J 10-same suit

Straight Flush: five cards in sequence-same suit

Four of Kind: four cards the same rank

Full House: three cards the same with two cards the same ex: AAA33

Flush: Any 5 cards in the same suit

Straight: five cards in sequence-any suit

Three of a Kind: three cards that are the same rank

Two Pair: Two cards the same rank with another two cards the same rank

One Pair: two cards the same rank
