  • Or is it Dapple? lol

    Anyone ever do poetry..?
This is one of a some i've written... takes a deep mind to understand it, or another
that is into poetry.. some have that insight right away, poetry can be very beautiful
it can be consoling, and also great entertainment for the mind

One yearns for yesterdays, one prays for tomorrows, the epic of life, truth, lies, manifest from the incoherance
of the abilty or inablity to beleive, life we are lost, emotional and irrational, lifeless be scorned, in death we are found,
peaceful, missed and praised upon, deathless is valued, immortal shadow wingless being futureless, lifeless you are warned
truthless is emotional denial, lieless is irrationally unbeleivable, yesterdays yearn for a tomorrows life is deathless, lifeless
and misunderstood, incoherantless to manifest(or vice versa)manifest to incoherantless

If you do dabble a little it would be great to see it, this piece i have not named
So.. all the poets, young or old or even new phrasers.. come one come all
Let me see ya hearts SWING!

  • You can post your poems here!!!

Would LOVE to see them, even the tiniest of phrases you've developed!

  • That was good.  Do I have your permission to show it to my pastor?  (Though...I better not tell her what website I got it from!!!)

  • You can show it to anyone you like, but it isn't really religiously based
its more of a metaphor of thoughts, although there are many ways to read this and understand it, it is oneself in your own understanding how it relates

  • Thanks!  I know it was not religiously based, but I feel people of faith will find it meaningful.

  • This is it 13.. maybe you can put some of yours here as well!

  • This is one that i did a while back...
My daughter in the Yellow on my avatar fell in love with it
Yes i do have happier, love poems and deep thought poems and prose..
i have MANY.. but i'll start with this one

    Silent Agony in glowing Bliss

This is dedicated to my best friend and my most feared enemy..
The one who laughed at my jokes..
The one who laughed at my pain..
The one who held my hand..
The one who cut me in shame..
The one who sang me to sleep..
The one who slain all my sheep..
The one who wiped my tears with a soft tissue so sweet..
The one who told me, if you hate you shall defeat..
The one who gave without taking..
The one who took without giving..
The one that dared to love..
The one who drew me a black dove..
The one who laid numb with a man for the money she needed..
The one who called whore, you slut, your soul should be deleted
The one who tended the bruises and bandaged the cuts..
The one who said.. he should of killed you, stabbed you in the gut
The one who served me soup, juice and bread...
The one who spoke words, that even she dread...
The one who held me, silently in time of need..
The one who slapped my face, out of pure greed..
The one who prayed for a teacher, some guidence, with love and patience..
The one who said you are nothing, nobody.. no ones heart would be so pure..
The one that said.. Girl.. you don't need them drugs..
The one who said.. Get high.. forget about what tugs..
The one who said.. get up it's time for work, you must go!
The one who said.. sleep, it's the only peace you know..
The one who beleives in her dreams, in miracles, has faith in her heart
The one who said.. you're an embaressment don't even start
The one who held a child, so proud of all achieved, happy with what she got..
The one who said.. a mistake, you only live and act like it's not..
The one who said.. please please.. don't go, don't leave me on the spot..
The one who said.. no i won't why should i.. when you is all i got..
Look YOU, i'll have the last word.. the last vow.. i'll find another
with the strength, the love and the power.. and YOU i will never know again
    My Best friend, My Enemy

  • I made this post a while back for those that Dabble a little tongue I love poetry and i do write my own. I've got tons but this one i wanted to share, maybe we can fill this up with beautiful poetry cheesy
It doesn't matter if you wrote it or not.. just would love to see them.. alot are so inspirational and helpful.

Let's resolve.... To Be a little better....
    Then we were before...
To be a little kinder and to smile a little more...
To go about our living with a firm hold on our nerve..
And to be a little wiser as our judgement we reserve...
To be a little blinder to the things that hurt our pride...
To be a little calmer and take life in our stride..
To be a little gentler.. no matter how we feel..
That is a way be can make happiness real...

  • wow, I know now why you go by Imagination my dear! You really should try and get this stuff published, God has given you a talent, I as glad to see you are using it. Great stuff, no if's and's or but's.

  • Beautiful Imagin. I do dabble, but have none available at the moment. I will be sure to post them here when I do.

In the meantime, I may just post some other poets stuff. Some of the ones that I find amazing.

Again Imagin. You have quite a way with words...Beautiful.

  • Lovely words Imagin. Why not publish your poems?

I do dabble in fact, it was all I did for quite a long time.  I wrote a poem for quite a few members of my close family.

I also used to "do the poetry" at work if someone was leaving for another job, having a baby or just a special birthday.

In fact I was having a clear out the other day and came across some of my poems and I was really laughing at them (I generally do "funny" poems).

    blue

  • Beautiful poems imagin!! I think it takes a lot of inner soul awakening to write deep poetry as these.

I think it also helps to soothe the soul when we feel sorrow and allows us to become even more expressive.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • We both loved the ocean and also would
soak ourselves in the majestic skies, our minds imagining in-sync
calmly and relaxed we would drift away together, feeling and touching timeless magic,
upon its vast wideness, always intrigued by its deepness
often searching and discovering its many ultimate tranquilities.

So serene the soft whispering breezes the gentle ripples of waves massaging our souls,
the calling of the horizons warmth filling each fiber of our being,
absorbing every light kiss of ocean mist, enveloping each intake of the purest air
becoming comfortly safe but still remaining valiantly lost in its mystery.
Looking up as we lay upon the seas never ending mystical blanket, unknowing of what dwells and lurks beneath.

The oceans evening of twilight glistens with bright radiant stars,
every twinkle illuminates our past, reflecting on the oceans waves trusting in their heavenly paths.

They guide us like lifes ever shining light, a line of beacons, intergralically woven...
if we'd ask do we go this way, or that... the answer lies within
our own internal compass contained within the deepness of heart, existing in the universe of our soul,
will guide our minds and body, to always bring us safely home.

I wrote this one its more prose then poetry, hope you enjoy it!
The meaning is follow your heart.. do what your heart desires, feel and breath with life.
You can also get your own feeling out of it, i haven't named it someday i will lol
  • Queen

If it’s a dollar she wants,
    It’s a dollar she gets
It’s all how she goes about gettin' it.

These days she’ll take your money
    And mine too—
She’ll smile nice and wide for a pair of shoes.

    What’s it for?
    Where’ll it be spent?
It doesn’t really matter as long as she’s content.

    She’ll stay a little longer
If you sing the right song.
She might even dance with you
    All night long.

    A pimper’s paradise
    That’s what she be.
She’ll even take a hit of that as long as it’s free.

In her own little world, you know,
    She is the queen.
    And, trust me, homeboy,
    You ain’t the only king.
  • Ragin

The wars they are a ragin’ all across the lands,
But I can’t stop these bullets with my bare hands.
I need the help of the people, one and one can make four,
And if you’re lucky, homeboy, you might just get more.

We need to make a lot of babies,
    cryin’ Peace on Earth
And if there’s any girl willin’,
you know, I’ll be the first.
We need to start right now and quit the delayin’,
Share like mama taught; or else, no more playin.

We’re all human inside, we need to drink and eat and shit,
But the way it’s lookin’ brother, this might be it.
You wanna buy my car, I got a nice fur coat?,
I’ll make you a deal—throw in the house and the boat.

We gotta seek redemption, where’s Bob Marley?
Don’t gotta be perfect, only see what we can see.
Bring the best you and I’ll bring the best me—
In the end we’ll laugh, he-he-he.

The wars they are a ragin all across the lands,
But I can’t stop these bullets with my bare hands
We need to make a lot of babies crying peace on earth,
And if there’s any girl willing, I’ll be the first.
We’re all human inside, we need to drink and eat and shit
But the way its lookin y’all, this might be it.

We gotta seek redemption, where’s Bob Marley?
Don’t gotta be perfect, only see what we can see.
Bring the best you and I’ll bring the best me—
And in the end, we’ll laugh, he-he-he.
  • That's an incredible piece of prose Imagin.  It truly defines the feel of the sea.

Amazing.  You really should get your poems published so you can share them with the world so that everyone can enjoy them.

  • Lady Luck

    blow on the dice
    shake it up right
    let it go
    feelin' lucky tonight
    bet it all
    let it grow
    better know
    when to quit
    walk away with your chips
    you cant win every time
    its always hit and miss
    Lady Luck my friend
    never gives
    only lends
  • This poem reminds me of my son Carter who passed away in September 2005

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
    I'm watching you from heaven
    Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
    When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
    Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
    We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
    A rainbow lights the way.

  • Beautiful Mommy :'(
  • Mommy.. thats beautiful  :'(

It is the perfect way to express those feelings..

  • Evening tides surging high, sweeping over sandy dunes..
defenseless against the flirtations of the sun and mystic moon...
Your dreams are those of boats and how content you would be
setting her afloat upon the open salted seas....
Wet and salty breezes roping unsuspecting man forever tugging
at the ties that binds him to land...
Gliding over glowing waters, warmed by the summers kiss
placid silence lures with its promise of copius bliss..
Bewitching green seas and rythemetic oceans, beakon and tempts with spellbounding motion...
Glistening pools of ripping water waive caution to the wind
you embrace unyielding force as though it were your friend...
without warning its tranquil spirit becomes a brooding tempest,
rosbust with angry scorn.. it plunges you below.
Aching for freedom, you feel your strength edging away...
vivacious intenseness vividly interfer, attempting nostalgia
before surrendering your last breath, you bid the world goodbye..
Abruptly the sea tires of its snare this lifeless form
releasing your limp body to frothy wave so gentle and so warm
Alive and well cradled within gentle tides of lapping arms..
your feelings being appreciative of the power that expelled you unharmed

this poem can be so exciting and also extremely soothing, it gives me the feel of "trusting in what you love"

  • Mommy.. you know what is strange, all the hell i went through, it was having my daughter, her love and understanding that helped me through them, that eased it, she gave me the smiles and laughter, the love, warmth and comfort of always knowing.. in her i had a home..

  • That is how I feel with my oldest daughter. When I was in my addiction, I wasn't a good mother at all, but in her eyes, I was. I could do no wrong in her eyes. Whenever I feel like I am lost, or I feel depressed, I look at her, and all my other children, and all my sadness dissappears. My children are my strength, my everything. I may not have many material things, and we might struggle..but their love makes me rich. I know this probably sounds corny to some, but it truly is the way I feel wink

Without them, God knows where I would be right now.

Your daughter sounds like a wonderful girl Imagin. You are a lucky lady, and she is even luckier to have such an amazing mother. You are blessed. God gave you her for a reason I believe, and soon you will be a grandma, and that will be a blessing as well.

  • Drifting are the many winds of change..
as shifting sands make us aware of the inner pain
Flowing tears tumble down most our faces....
yet the cause of this empty sorrow has escaped us
Riddles of what life is to be drum in our mind repeatedly
questions get asked for many of times answers don't come so easily
Most all will try to win, maybe use others to be above the rest..
while the ones that share thoughts together shall learn best
The lives we are living can't be possessed by us..
though we are being it's olny loaned with trust
While the sun shall shine as it glides through the sky..
the night displays moon and stars glowing high
Beating waves crashing on the shore in rhythem
chanting reminders of the time we are given
As each spirits time expires to its end
the knowledge collected shall aide other experiences just to begin

This is one of my favorites, it lets us know to make the best of life,
treat it kindly, be wise in your descions, enjoy whats here on earth..
do your best and set examples that will benefit
because basically its only borrowed time..
so give it back the same way you found it.. lol

  • Blue, i do it as a side hobby.. i can get a word stuck in my head, i'll imagine it and go further, the same as an image of surroundings or places i have been or imagine what it feels like, but mainly it is a word or phrase i get in my mind, reach inside myself and try to describe what im feeling, the emotions, the voices, what it looks like, smells or taste, describe a journey.. alot of words i get in my mind are the ever and never ending words like time, ocean, skies.

Sometimes it can take me about 15 minutes to write them and some maybe a week. I write down the word, the words associated with it, the feeling of those or that word, the journey it leads me to and so forth then i put it together. Alot of words you'll find are not apart of yours or my daily vocabulary..

Like for say you are looking for something that describes a beautiful moment, an innocent sin, romantic endeavors, i recollect reading Romeo and Juliet, and come up with Palmer's Kiss. For maybe something of a feeling like warding off, or protection, an evil loves come your way, the sense you are afraid but brave, i can use the word prophylactery in feeling. To describe yourself or something you viewed in a position i can use "palm to forehead" this can also be used as a sense you are feeling, or how we look in an a sorrowing moment, like "sink into your fingertips".

This one is observation from start to finish, bottom to top, from the inside to out.. some people get the feeling of warmth or relaxation, but if you reach inside and live it, live in your observance.. this is what you can come up with.. "cold iron walk" is describing "slowly rising or arriving"

    Observation (s)

All things start complete... circular even as they begin...
The climb starts out angular, on an upward spiral, ever reaching higher.. a cold iron walk..
The ascent gains momentum, only to fall back on itself and relearn old lessons..
but... ever moving forward higher and higher
The path is sometimes steep, sometimes gradual, but always spiral, balancing itself...
As the soul reaches ever upward, the steps turn more sharply, until a tighter circle forms... embracing the light...
The last phaze of the journey is verticle, no footprints... only a smooth waxy pillar to shimmer up...
Cling closely and rise to the brillance.. above and within.. oh but what am i... where am i going...
    Never fearing... the silent voice...
None other then the flame on the wick of a candle...

Its fun and very relaxing, it releases me when my head is overloaded and gets my mind off of things that trouble me

  • You guys are incredible! Unbelievable writing talent. I think LCB should publish a book of poems from it's LCB family.

    Lips
  • Some prose i wrote...

    When the well runs dry...

They say you don’t miss your water till the well is run dry, that is very true... I miss all the life and love I dipped and drank from, selfishly I took & abused what was given to me in most plentifulness, thoughtless to ever running dry and giving no more. Most will be sorrowful a while, thinking only at least for what they no longer get, some not taking heed to the lesson they learned, some so ashamed of how wrongly they treated and misused the water and the well that provided such glorious and miraculous feelings, thirsty they soon walk away in search for other wells.

Remorseful in truth to the sins I committed against a life giving well, not at that time having the eyes and heart to see, stay behind to brush the brick of the now drought and dry, oil it's crank, polish it's bucket, paint it's sheltering roof, appreciating what all the well offered and gave, solemnly I sit by, irrevocably devoted.

Praying to revive and replenish the glory, not I matter if the water never returns to me, a well needs its water to be what it is, for I do know I am not worthy of any takings or askings, thirsty yes and needing life yes, but to prove to this well I onced indulged in greedily, desired in excessively, selfishly took and abused, the well that told me the rules I ignored so viciously, if only this... that there is a heart in me, my soul feels what my eyes ignorantly could not see, my heart now holds honesty, my body now is in truth on my knees, my minds thoughts are of only your happiness, and my soul misses but appreciates the quenching water you gave that baptized me

I, regretful & remorseful, missing all it's goodness, but happy and peaceful knowing it lives and to another it shall give.

  • Every single post...I you more...amazing. wink

Have you ever thought about publishing?

    blue

  • Well, not really Blue.. i write them as a hobby to share with dear friends.. i have to say i am humbled by your compliments from such a wonderful woman as you.

I like to leave them free of commitment in their honesty and true being coming from me, as treasures to come across for my daughter and grandchildren maybe they will publish and get gratitudes for them

Thank MM and sll of you guys for your encouraging words,I love art and one of my fantasies is to have a full art studio loaded with supplies and canvases waiting for me to bring them to life....sigh
  • a few more....

  • How very cool.Really enjoyed the poems and artwork!!!!

  • wow!  nice pieces allyoop...i dig em

  • Allyoop!!!!!! Wow that is some amazing art work. Do you paint with acrylics or oils?

It is truly very good. What makes me so sad is when it comes to great artists it is such a tough world to get yourself a name. So many great artists go by the way side because they just can't catch a break.

    Very very talented you are!!

Imagin you are another one....sigh what can i say. You can't go wrong because you write from the heart and what you feel. Your writing always has a romantic and passionate edge to them. I even see it in your posts. You have a wonderful gift.

  • Thank you! I prefer acrylics and water colors on canvas, but these were done digitally on a computer, its like drawing with a mouse but with with a twist. You all are very talented also and have fantastic writing skills, it is a gift to express yourself like you do.

  • Hey allyoop, just curious, what apps/ software did you use to create A Place to Meditate and Deep Sea Coral?  The colors are crazy vivid!

  • Hey Ishin, I use a program called Twisted Brush, it is pretty user friendly and has countless combinations of brushes, colors, techniques, etc.
Here ya go....they even have a free trial which is pretty cool too.

I hope this is a good link

  • sweet...free...me likes free : )

    thanks!

  • This one i did but have no name i just call it, Musical Secrets.. it's a little on the feelings of a passionate romantic side to music.... whoa..

You drive me wild, like two tongues joined hungered
in erotic lust, starving suckles deepening to reach
what craves at my soul, to share in your sweet taste
of musical juice and deep harmonious strokes
Erupting liquid notes begin to flow, savored and slow licked,
    I taste......
quenches are soothed, like hot bodied nakedness in a cool breeze
like the warm breath whispering the words, are you f**king me?
Composing and maintaining this maddening desire..
Back to my senses, softly I feel.. returning to me
Kisses placed randomly on body as notes
    voluminously turning into
sounds of high screams and low moans, oooh
Like, how your anger has flowed through my veins and burns me within
So does the fire produced with every key and note that’s hit
Taking me higher in a world where this is no dissonance,
every sound from every voice melts into one word,
    magical hands roaming gently,
hearts in time, the beat, the bass, the background
touch me where everything makes sense
make me the falsetto, the soprano, the tenor, the alto
    the tempo.. your lyrics
my soul is infatuated and drowning in your music,
insatiably entwined, this passion I can't live without,
orgasmic and healing, all of my surrounding air
love is in music and it's you that takes me there
