Pams post about borrowers, got me thinkinng..The reply from Imagination also got me here too. I am happy most of the time. I wear what I like and damned if others don't like it. I am also cheap. $10 jeans, $1 shorts (On sale) and such. So, do you wait till the very last moment ot buy clothing which you "Possibly" should have replaced long ago?? I have 7 pairs of pants, 3 with small (Near the ankle) tears. Shorts..Finally got new ones, but still have old timers..(One over 5 years old, but it's still "OK" and yes it was a gift from older sister...(How did she find out I liked Scooby Doo?) Shirts..Most are barely hanging on...Did get a couple of "Used" one (Salvation Army) So how are you when you think about your clothing

Gene I think I am thrifty, I tend to hit the sale racks and if I can't find anything there I just wait. If I don't need it I don't buy it. I have clothes I still wear that I have had over 6 years. Nothing wrong with them and they are still fashionable. I don't think it is the price you pay for your clothes or where you buy them that make them look good, but how you carry yourself wearing those clothes. I bought a dress for a wedding in LA off of a sale rack and I won't say which store but I got more compliments on my dress than some of the women that paid hundreds of dollars for theirs. So I'm with you.

I agree shoes i am very picky and splurge for those, but everything else.. i don't mind the cheaper clothing, just got to take care of them lol buying the cheaper clothing i have found that after a wash i'm pulling it out the dryer saying to myself.. "what WAS this?" lol The best pair of jeans, infact they were Jordache were given to me already wore out, but you couldn't tell.. hey i had those jeans for years and still are my favorite! Bought a new pair, it's just not the same .. so pass those hand me downs, line up for clearance sales, and get down and dirty in the second hand stores.. look out vivi's coming!!!

I hate to admit but I am indeed a shopaholic...lol I and my daughter, we share our clothes and have more than enough but we just LOVE shopping for more...we can probably open our own shop with the clothes, hats, shoes, purses and make up sets...thank God that I only have only one daughter...

I am right there with ya Gene.
I think the reason i hang on to clothes so long is i am to lazy to go shopping and i also HATE shopping.

I wait until Mondays or every other Sunday from 1 to 4. These days and times are lucky for me according to my horoscope.
Just kidding. One of the local Goodwill stores marks down some of their clothing items(certain colored tags) to fifty cents apiece on those two days. You can get a perfectly good pair of pants and shirt (almost new sometimes) for $1. You can't beat that anywhere else. Other than that, or for shoes, I'll try the clearanced or marked down racks.
