What is your favorite land based casino?

My favorite casino has to be the Bellagio. It's casino heaven! If you plan on going to Vegas you must visit the Bellagio.

My favorite land based casino has to be Horseshoe that is here locally. In Vegas thats a tough one....depends on what i'm looking for a the moment. I think over all Caesars is my fav. The pool and gardens are straight out of the Roman times.

Planning a September/October trip.......i can't wait to go!!!

I used to love Quishata casino in Eunice La. Huge place, loose slots, free drinks... and the buffet...
I dont need to tell you Louisana folks like to eat... and Love good food...
Quishata had a buffet bar with 7 types of cuisine... and all of them serving dishes that were comparable to some of the 5 star restaurants in the area. This is a feat unto itself for a buffet.

They had a bread pudding made from fresh cinnamon rolls and both a Praline sauce, loaded with pecans and honeyed butter, and a Whiskey sauce, made with jack Daniels, Butter and Molasses. either sauce was great... but mixed.... Mmmmm, Nirvana.

Right now, I have to say Ceasar's in Atlantic City.  It is a pretty nice place to stay and I have been luckier there than others.

I would have to say The Borgata in Atlantic City, they just happen to have my favorite vietnamese soup in one of the resturants there and I love the plastic coated poker chips...they just have this smooth feel to them!!

I have to go with Venetian, Las Vegas, Nev.. that place is beautiful
and amazing, you just feel like you are in Italy walking the streets.
2nd would be Luxor, It's so uniquely built, I really would love to someday visit Egypt see the pyramids, sphinx, and walk the land of ancient

Speaking from sort of the past...

Reno (1981-1995)
Circuscircus was great on the slots (Waitress kept the beers coming woohoo!)
El Dorado was also nice and staff was a trip sometimes.
The Mint (In sparks) (Mom won $500 on a 25 cent slot)
Harolds Club (First Jackpot hit there 777 on a $1 machine $600 payout)

Vegas (1985)
CircusCircus (Got a canceled room for $25 for the night. Mom, me and Niece had a bed each!) (Maid got $25 as a tip hit three machines for a nice bankroll)

Although I have to say, we got up in the morning and though the town is incredible at night..Well, it's a different story in the day...

Most recently

Spirit Mountain (McMinvillie OR)  (1st time there, won $1,500 been apying it back since Cheesy )
Chinook Winds ( Lincoln City, OR.) 2 story and nice staff.

Card rooms in La Center, but that's not been hit since 2004.

The Mirage is another nice one.. the volcano outside in front, the
white tiger exhibition, although the casino inside is not very big
friendly people, the food is great, and it is very lavengantly modeled.

When i just want to get out alone, what i do is go walk the strip..
i walk along and visit each casino, i beleive the strip is about 10 miles
with all the casinos, i forget.. anyways i'll stop and play at each..
Once i was walking through Mirage, sat down played $10 on a dollar poker
machine, didn't win, but stood up turned around and to the side i see
a piece of paper on the ground from a distance, i walked to it..
Low and behold it was $100.00 bill, i did the snap and sniff, yup it was
real.. walked to some bonus penny machine maxed bet with it won
$500.00 with that, cashed it out left.. went on my way..
About a week later, went out and did the walk again, out on my own
just doing my thing, walked through the Mirage.. and i'll be darn
same place, same spot.. another crispy $100.00 bill on the floor,
I looked around to see if it was a trick, felt like candid camera or
a real deja vu it was..real!
All the beautiful scenery all around, don't forget to take a look down.. you'd
be surprised..hehe

I live in the midwest...and without a doubt my new favorite casino is The MGM in Detroit.

They spared nothing when they built that place.

It was voted Best casino east of the Mississippi and i understand why.

If you like the nightlife its a great place to go..they have a nightclub called Aqua and four others. The restaurants are unbelievable, my favororite is Wolfgang Pucks UNREAL place to visit..i can go on and on about this casino..and the actual casino is great as well. If you live in the midwest you really need to visit this place.
