I closed my account with facebook a while back, it's an okay place.. i had got a stalker that was driving me nuts.

Thank you for taking the time to make the post for all concerns, thats how those viruses work, they get you with something well known and something you would be interested in reading about. Mostly porn lol.. but also alot of political.

Thank s Jacob for the heads up! We just got a new monitor so crashing the computer with a virus from facebook would really ruin my day.

I understand that.. Alot of people use FB as a family contact place, but you do have some weirdo's that take advantage of things like that. Keep alert at all times...

way better, and even private in the sense that only people you allow can access your privacy, ok the real top notch hackers get in everyhwere, but those guys dont care for your family reunion:)
seriously, hackers are getting  a bad name, but the original term isnt negative at all, just a little anarchistic, in the sense that they wont accept information that might affect the world if it was available, to be kept secret by government, large corps etc.
they help uncover scandals, they tap into phones etc.
on a side note: so does the government, ok im drifting off:)
BUT VIRUSES ARE NEGATIVE, thoe software nerds that think its somehow fun to spread electronic diseases, that ruin modest and normal peoples lives, cost them cash, make themm lose pictures, documents and other things, like students that might have just finished an essay, qworking on it for years, writers, songwriters, anything, i swear i will bash someone severely if i find out they are doing this, i couldnt agree with you more, and indeed jacob, good thread: as soon as you hear these things spread the word!
