Hey guy's, I am soooo pissed off right now, I just went to wal-mart and purchased a prepaid greendot visa card and went to activate it and was trnaserred to the securtity department........I was told that there was an issue with onther prepaid card and that they could not activate my card.....IT'S A F**** PREPAID CARD, HOW CAN YOU NOT ACTIVATE IT?  On top of that, they have no clue what kind of issue it was or where is was and had no number for me to call or anything....I have never in my life had an experiance like this....so basically they said they won't activate the card and they have no information on how to get the problem taken care of....I have no idea what kind of problem they are even talking about! How can someone even have a problem with a prepaid card??? |

OMG I've heard it all now, I have never heard of such a thing and to call the number thats on the card and they know nothing!!!! what the hell? ? Let me know what happens |

hey i bought 1 and activated it online try it might work good luck!!! and another thing if u were planning to use for a casino u cant until u recieve the personalizwd card |

OMG is right....Like I said before, I have never heard of anything like this before.....I shoulda known something was gonna be funny when I went to register the card online and it wanted my ssn.....anyways I called them back and they said all they could do was issue me a refund check, but that doesn't help me one bit right now.....they said it will take 7-10 days to get my money back!! This is the biggest bullshit I have ever seen!

I use 2 prepaid GreenDot Visa's from Walmart and have never had a problem with them or any problems using them at the casino's. I activated both of mine online too. I also used my temporary cards at casino's until I got my permanent ones.

Satans...I have mixed feeling about Greendot. They seem to require too much information. Not that it makes any difference. Mostly I just use my Amex card or Bank America Visa. Both have high success rates of going through. Sometimes I use prepaids. I use: AAA prepaid visa, the yellow colored prepaid visa you can buy at Walgreens, and the prepaid visas sold at a VERY famous grocery store in my area. PM if you need a reminder of what that is!

I bought my greendot prepaid card at Riteaid. I too, have not had a problem activating my card. As for inputting your information, i think i believe i had to enter my ssn for valid reason.
There are about 1 or 2 casino that do not accept my card though, so i applied for a netspend prepaid card as well. Can anybody tell me how and where i can load my card?

Well, as I mentioned guyS, i HAVE NEVER had a problem with prepaid cards before...they told me my ssn was flagged for some kind of problem with a different prepaid cards.....all my prepaid cards have been paid in cash and I've never had any kind of problem before.....this is just mindblowing to me....now I'm out of a card and out of money until they send me a refund check!!

Satan, sorry that that happen to you! Anyway why dont you just get a netspend card www.netspend.com or a momentum card or ace card these are all prepaid cards and are all access cards. I love the netspend card, you should try it |

GIRLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!! I CAN'T FIND THE POST ON HERE, BUT WAY BACK I SAID GREENDOT WAS FULL OF SH*T. I LOST MY 1ST GREENDOT CARD, (DIDN'T TRIP CUZ I KNEW THERE WAS NO MONEY ON IT) BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE (IT HAD ABOUT $40 ON IT) THEN BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE CUZ I WAS FEINDIN TO GAMBLE AND COULDN'T FIND IT. WENT TO ACTIVATE THE NEW 1 (THAT I PUT $500 ON) AND THEY SAID THE SAME SH*T!!!!! THE SECURITY DEPT TOLD ME THAT I HAD TOO MANY CARDS, I SAID WHO GIVES A SH*T IF I HAVE 100 OF THE M.F.er's, IT'S A DAMN PRE PAID CARD. ANYWAY THE GOOD NEWS... I GOT THE CHECK FROM THEM WITHIN A WEEK. (2 checks actually, one for the new card including thier fee and the $40 bucks that was on the other card.) So I went to the nearest check cashing store and was going back to using Netspend, when I told them about the 3 card thing they said it was thier rule too, you can't have 3 VALID cards, expired ones don't count. So I had them check cuz I used Netspend in 2004 and good thing, cuz I had 2 active cards. They cancelled them and issued a new one no problem. P.S. PM me hun and I can tell ya more. I have another greendot prepaid mastercard that I reguarly use....bought that one at Rite Aid, and I never had a problem with it for 2 years now.....Can't use it at Vegas Regal, so I decided to put $20 on the greendot visa from wal-mart....Wish I would stuck with my normal card, but too late now.....As for all access cards, those are awesome...they ALWAYS work, but I can't find them around here anymore, and yes Dr. you can make ATM withdrawls with the greendot card, or at least I can with the one I have....my Dad used to send me money that way every once in a while, just buy the reload card, add a few bucks and call me with the activation number, then I would got to an atm and withdraw it to pay bills................ |

No mention of chexsystems ever came up  |
