When the sun goes down, are teenagers more likely to get into trouble?

Examples may be :Trespassing, vandalism, mailboxes might get broken, drug use, and alcohol consumption…”

Curfews have always been a controversial issue between parents and children. Now the increasing use of curfews by towns and cities—to fight juvenile crime—is generating controversy nationwide.

Do curfews reduce crime?
Does your town enforce curfews?
What are your feelings on them?

When I was in highschool, our town had a curfew of midnight for anyone under 18, but worse my parents had a curfew of 10pm until I graduated highschool, only a few times was I allowed out past 10, and that was for proms.  Don't really know if the curfews helped cut down on crime, allowing a teen out til midnight, is long enough to commit any crime.

Curfew is not worth the paper it is written on!!! To me curfew was introduced into law because parents can't control their kids.

I will say besides that i think it's a stupid law.....some kids are responsible and should not be forced to be home by the law because of a few bad apples.

The parent needs to implement the rules. Either the teen is trustworthy or they are not. The decision should rest in the parents hands.
