does anyone know how I can get rid of cleopatras palace?
I've already looked to Add/Remove programs...this one isn't even listed!
If it isn't in my list I can't uninstall it. Well, not through there. But I don't know where else to go to dump it from my comp.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Go to "my Computer" open "Program Files" and find Cleopatras palace. You can right click and delete it directly... but be aware there will still be traces of it in your computer registry. I use a free program called Ccleaner that on top of dumping and cleaning all your computer caches (even some you did not know had a cache, also has a decent registry cleaner. It is free and you can upload it from Majorgeeks. Once installed, run the registry cleaner and all the old crap (CCleaner stands for Crap cleaner) that is associated to dead and deleted files since you bought your computer are gone. I am betting you find your computer is faster after this as well. The Cleaner section is fast and easy to use and can be docked into your recycle bin, dumping and clearing caches, cookies, temp files etc. I run mine daily. (by the way, it also has an add/delete tool that can not only find programs like Cleopatras, but can also allow you to get rid of those programs that your IE cannot from add/remove program. Check it out and let me know that it worked for you. |

Yep that CCcleaner works great, had the same probs and run it about 3 times a week just to stay ftresh.
Very good product and well worth the time to install and use.

I have been using Crap Cleaner for a long time. It is definately great, but it doesn't get out everything. I still go into the registry periodically, and empty all the casinos, etc that I don't want anymore. You would be surprised what still is in there after you uninstall, and use the crap cleaner

For the price it is hard to beat... and yes there are still things it does not get to...
I tend to follow through once a month with Registry mechanic and it keeps things pretty smooth. Face it, chasing chips leads you to some unsavory corners of the iternet, you need to have good tools to keep safe and clean.
I Have Symantic Endpoint installed for anti virus and back that up once every couple weeks using a free online virus scan from "Trend" called "Housecall". Because it is not loaded on a possibly infected machine it can let you know if anything got past.
I also use Lavasofts "Adaware" for antispy/malware... then clean it all out with the CCleaner.
Been running this comp for three years now and it is a s fast as when I bought it.

I use the iobit advanced system care program which does the same thing. I got the info from someone here on this forum and tried it and it works great. It also is free. They have a security program also that works with whatever program you have to assist in added protection against hackers and viruses.That program is iobit security 360 which is a beta test right now and it also is free. It actually picked up a couple of things my regular security program missed. I found the downloads at majorgeeks and cnet.
