I just said a "WOW" to myself tonight as I just went out to get a coffee, and our oldies radio station 96.1 WHNN, has turned to all Christmas, all the time, until New Years Day. To early you say? Not really. Only 42 days till CHRISTMAS DAY. I love Christmas, and I love the music too!!!! PMM Anyone started shopping yet?

Okay guys: I started my decorating yesterday. To early you say? Nonsense. I am in such a great Christmas spirit this year. Get out there in this nicer weather and string those lights. I am having a blast. Happy Holidays: PMM

So this is Christmas...and what have you done.....another year over.......
I love that song....has to be one of my favorites at holidays. It makes me very sentimental as i think back over the last Christmas to this one. Most of the time i will ask myself......what have i done? The answer always seems the same....not a whole lot.
This Christmas season as i reflect back.....i feel a like have done something. That is being part of the LCB family. I never dreamed that i would have the opportunity to work for such a great site.
More than that.........the people i have grown to love and admire. It astounds me that such a site as this, could have such great people.
I am happy and proud to have the opportunity to get to know so many through your written words. Some have made me laugh.....some have made me cry....and some i just can get through a day without reading their posts.
So what i have done? I have been given the gift to know all of you. And i thank LCB for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to part of it.
.....and so Happy Christmas......for weak and for strong......for rich and for poor ones.....

I'm "Slightly" depressed as I used to have a job which would allow me to "Spread some cheer" to those less fortunate.
One year my company did a toy/clothing drive. I blew a bundle (Nice hit on VLT machine) and bought coats, shoes and stuff for little kids (School the company adopted) and I knew they also needed some toys for preschoolers.
I can just imagine that Morning when that little trike I bought was given to the child I would never know and their eyes would be bright with joy at the gift.
I look forward to those days once again...Well, maybe next year I guess...

Gene,
Don't be depressed that you can't spread some cheer. Everyday that you come to this forum....you bring someone cheer. It's the time of year for those between 1 to 92 years old.......and it's your year to give to the big kids right here!!!
You may not buy toys for a tots, but you do something that money or presents can't buy. You enlighten us and bring us great reading. You are my morning coffee when i wake up.....and don't think for one minute you don't make us smile and think.
I hope you find work very soon....how unselfish you are to think about those less fortunate.

Gene, I understand what you feel now! I've been in such situation...you want to joy your folks but you can't... I'm convinced you'll find a job soon!! And you'll be able to compensate everything! The most important is that they know you love them! But I'm sure they do! Cheer yourself up and it will spread some cheer, too!
