Reading some emails and I came across an email from Borders. For those unfamiliar with Borders, they are a major book store in the USA (I don't think they are international). Borders Express and Waldenbooks are also part of the same family.
Funny thing is, I don't even read books so God knows why I'm listed as a rewards member. I might have bought a cook book or a tabloid magazine years ago.
I used to love to hit the coffee shop and browse the sexy books................
Anyway, do you think this is the beginning of the end for book stores? I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner but it does me me sad. For those that have kids in school, are they required to buy certain books or are the Kindle, online versions, etc. acceptable?
Oh and by the way, going out of business sales start today and use up those Borders Bonus bucks by July 31st.
