well...i hope someone comes soon with a magnifying glass and revive me...  i wonder if kids still do that? i remember i use to swat flies and as they lay there motionless i would take the magnifying glass...focusing the suns rays to small point right on the fly - and voila a miracle! before the suns rays can burn the fly...it begins to move..standing up on its tiny legs..the wings take form again..and begin to buzz....and away that little thing goes....until i swat it out of mid-air again.. poor thing. soda...that is so funny!! i still have the same magnifying glass (little plastic) one that i had 40 years ago when i was 5-6 years old burning things with it, probably bugs!!! no really i think leaves  now i am still using it at work, makes me laugh...sometimes i think about those times burning stuff, and i can't believe i still have or use this thing after all these years |

i didn't think Michael Vick would be allowed to own a dog anymore. And if I could come back...I would want to come back as the God of Gambling. WHAT!!! you can do that Soda...all this time i only thought you burnt them to a crisp..
Bring flies back to life? Yes I can. But only if they haven't been completely flattened. I found that the ones you kill with a fly swatter get flattened but if you twist a towel and use it like a whip...and snap that fly out of the air...those ones are easily revived....making for a pretty fun game as a kid. not only was i able to give life back to flies....i got pretty damn good at snapping that towel with amazing accuracy. did u know u could get the loudest shreak when u land a perfect towel snap just between the bum cheek and the back thigh? - but never do it if the target is bare (wearing bikini, or underwear or nude) cuz i found out that a hard enough snap could tear away skin |

but i was serious...i didn't think he would be allowed to own dog or any pet anymore... lol...why would you insult your luck like that? hasn't it always brought you good tidings? the bad stuff comes when your luck isn't there....and the more you insult or blame your luck...the more it's not gonna be there...if you were in your lucks position, would you stick around? |

Well Soda, I've never asked for luck good or bad, but that's just how things go in my life.....one thing after another  I still believe that some people are just born lucky/unlucky as if it were written in the stars!! I'm sure there at least one person you know who's life is always wonderful and good things ALWAYS happen to them, and then there's someone you might know who can NEVER catch a break.....Thoses are the one's I feel are just born like that, and it only happens to just a handful of people, but for the majority of people, I think it's balanced....good and bad.......but that's just my outlook on the whole luck thing.............. |

When it comes to good luck and back luck in life i have often wondered....is it predestined or do we create our own destiny?
Is there a map outlining exactly what it is each of us need to experience....the people that come into our lives....the joy and sorrow we experience.
Or are we handed two paths.......an arrow goes one way.....another in the opposite direction. Do we instinctively know what is the right way to go...or so curious we go in the opposite direction?
Or do our lives have no direction.........just free spirits letting life take us for a ride?

You know Lips.....I think that it's pedestined, I don't think any of us really have a choice and that path has been laid out from the start, maybe it's just me, but has anyone else ever noticed that a whole chain of events led you to where you are right this minute??? I know in my case it has, staring as far back as I can remember, To try and make it short I'll just summorize the big topics. My parents get divorced..which led me to Va., I left my father's daughter for another man....who I met through him, it was a brief fling but I ended up with his best friend....one of the great loves of my life.....broke up, learned some lessons and moved on...which led me in a whole other direction.....blah, blah, blah and so forth and here I am now in THE BEST relationship of my life, but every single one of these events and many others that I did not mention led me to him...........Anyone ever hear that song by Rascal Flatts "Bless the Broken Road"....that's kinda how I feel on life

Another way you can look at life is not so much as predestined except for the ending...not just one ending...perhaps there are several scenarios...and which scenario we finally succumb to is based on the path that we choose whether it be intentionally or not intentionally. The best way i can illustrate it is like this.....there are books out there that after every chapter you would have to do something to determine which page in the book you would turn to for your next chapter...for instance at the end of a chapter would have you roll the dice, other chapters you would have to make a choice or answer a question or riddle. Depending on the result determines which page to turn to next...and so on...until finally you come to the end of the book...the final chapters....and here are the various endings...set yourself on the right path, with right not meaning righteous but simply the path that ends up with the best ending - this would be the goal. Now just like a new book that you have never read...you wouldn't know what's gonna happen on the next page or chapter so never despair cuz it may just as well be written that you are to face all the crap at this point in life...but when you come to turn to the next chapter...hey...you might find out you are actually a princess, descendant of those who came to earth along time ago that brought the first generation of your family here to protect them...but now from another galaxy...they have come for you....so that you may return and reign as your kingdom is once again safe...awaiting for it's princess to return home...

I have to agree with you. Depending on what path we take....the ending will have a completely different outcome. That is obvious...what choices we make throughout our time here on the earth plane, will play out what the ending is.
So that still leaves the question unanswered Soda.....life plays out our ending.....is that predestined?

I have to agree with you all the way....i think it is predestined. I don't think its chance who comes along in our lives. There is a reason and a purpose for each and everyone that comes our way.
Even those that we think has a negative impact on us.....has purpose. It makes us learn and grow in life's lessons.
I do believe we have free will to choose what direction we take. We are handed a blue print...how we use that blue print and our interpretation it is our free will.

Soda, I do like your story, but I'm afraid nothingfs gonna change my outlook, wayyy to many things in my life happened to be due to a huge chain reaction....also I gotta ask, you know how when someone who is young and healthy [child, spouse, friend] dies for no good reason, way before their time shoulda been up?? What's the first thing people tell the person who is dealing with the loss..."everything happens for a reason" or "GOD has a plan"...................so is that complete bullshit people say in an attempt to make someone else feel better, or do they really believe what they are saying??......and to say either of those things would basically imply that we really have no choice and it is in fact "GOD" how is pulling all the strings..........

Lol, I used to be afraid of flying....still am kinda, and my mother would sit there and tell me, "Don't miss out on vacations and travel because your afraid the plane might crash, If you were meant to die on that plane and you don't get on, then that plane will crash on your head!!! I always thought that was sooo funny, but now I think she just may be right, Once again I think the joke is on us, it may appear that we have a choice, but no matter which way you turn the outcome will be the same, you can't escape destiny. Anyone ever been in a situation where you had to choose between 2 people and later down the road get burned and think....I shoulda picked the other one, well maybe if you picked the other one your woulda got burned just the same, or ever been in an accident and thought to yourself later...I should have just stayed home that day, well maybe if you stayed home you would have tripped and fell and you'd still be sitting in the hospital.......i think you guys can get where i'm going with this  |

Satan, I never could understand the reason why a child would be taken away at such a young age. Or why people are born with such disabling handicaps. Or being maimed, raped or slaughtered at the hands of evilness. It use to haunt me...how can there POSSIBLY be a "God"  ? Then i found an answer that just "felt right" for all the madness. The reason for that is Karma....and the only way to pay our debts is through re-incarnation. For example if in a past life i abused a child and that child died at my hands.......i have to feel the pain of that loss in this life. If i had no compassion for someone who was disabled in a previous life.....i have to be disabled in this one to feel what it is like. Maybe the hardest challenge and the deepest lesson to learn is be born as a serial killer. To take the painful challenge to teach people what suffering is. Its the only reasoning i can understand........if there is indeed this "higher power". Otherwise it just doesn't make sense to me. Of course we will never know....at least not on this plane.......
