Screw em. lol. Serving to minors is less sales for beer and liquor stores but that doesn't mean we should
That's like comparing apples and oranges. Simply as it is illegal and dog racing is legal.

Why only Florida? Do the Floridians (especially the Tampons, lol, just kidding) want votes from out of state?
Soon enough maybe sporting events will all be virtualized and not use real animals. People included.

very true chiily. Greyhound and Whippet raceing, is far from illegal in Florida. I use to own a whippet, (minature greyhound) and I can say this with 100% accuracy, those dogs not only need to run, they love it. Their very mellow inside the house, but once they feel the fresh air, they literaly beg their owner to let them run. I'd say, that dog was the best dog I ever had, period. Rico

Why only Florida?
Florida is one of only seven states in the U.S. in which dog racing still exists.

I'm pretty sure we have it in Texas. There is a Greyhound racetrack in Corpus Christi (or was...I dunno). I've also seen projects for adopting the greyhounds. They are beautiful animals, and built for running for sure!

ah-nuts, I gotta throw my 3 cents n here, lol. When your talking cruelty to these animals, (greyhounds) is it the fact that you see them, or visualize them, running on a track, and there straining to win the race, or does it have to do with their handlers? ................. It is the inhumane way they are treated. Owners who toss them out like yesterday's newspaper because they no longer have the stamina to run like they once did.

Lips....I really liked, and appreciated, the "stimulating" designation! Thank you!
But....Yes...its true. When people get emotional over things like animals, logic functions on a totally different realm.

Lips, I can feel this is an important subject to you. Rest assured, I don't condone any animal cruelty, whether it be dogs, horses, chickens (cock fighting). None of that is right. Did you see an article, or something on the news, regarding a miss treated animal? Because, if someone is caught miss-treating those dogs, or horses for example, there are heavy fines, and suspension. The dogs themselves, they truely enjoy running. This is fact. If you get 12 or 13 years of life, out of 1 of those dogs your doing excellent. They will want to run untill they do die. To finish, when the dog gets older, it may not be as competitive or as fast when it was younger, if the owners or handlers are caught miss-treating them, there through. Normaly what happens, (and we all know NORMAL is not a good word to use) when it's time for the dog to retire, it's either used for breeding, adopted out, or euthinized as humainly possible. Believe me when I say, I'm not attempting to change, or influence anyone in here. We all have our own opinions. This is the other side of the coin, let's say. Rico
