I know exactly what you mean! Sometimes the "chat" is more irritating than helpful. Take for instance an incident that happened awhile back, when I used to deposit at "Virtual". That is before I started coming here and reading all the complaints and bad press about certain
casinos.
Virtual ran a coupon special last Halloween. About 5 of the individual bonus coupons were sub-titled under another coupon that stated if your deposit was 50 dollars or more on Halloween Day, for any of the 5 bonus coupons listed under it, they would credit your account with a surprise bonus from 50 to 500 dollars. I went to "chat" to check on the T & C's and asked if it would be credited automatically. He said to come back about 4 hours after deposit and notify chat. Then they would credit account with the "surprise" bonus- no problem.
Well, I did exactly what he told me to, except when I went back to chat 4 hours later, "Marcello" wasn't working that shift and I got another person, "Joe". He stated that 2 coupons can't be used in a row without deposit inbetween- No go. He said "Read the rules!" "Have a nice day" and then cut me off.
I emailed customer service and requested a manager. This takes about 1 or 2 days for them to get back to you, so the next day I logged in about the same time to see if I could get the first chat person and I asked for "Marcello". When he appeared in my chat window, I thought I might as well keep it simple; So I acted like nothing wrong had happened. I said "Hi Marcello! Remember me from yesterday?" He says "Log out and back in and bonus will be credited in about 5 minutes. Done!" "Oh and Good Luck!" Bonus of $176.00 was in my account 2 minutes later.
Go Figure! These guys can't keep their policies and rules consistant with each other, let alone consistant within the SAME CASINO they both work for!
* Just a Tip: I ALWAYS "cut & paste" the chat sessions and save them to a new "Notepad". ESPECIALLY the ones that refer to discrepinsies with money
and bonus rules. Who knows if it would carry any weight with mngmnt. or not
but I do it anyway- just in case some casinos might not keep a record of the
session. In any case, it sure beats trying to remember exactly what they told
you, should a problem come of it later.
