  • Hi LCB'ers,

If you have Pay Pal account and use a Prepaid Visa they can work hand and hand!

The benefits to using a Pre-Paid Visa card is that it works like a bank account and if you
used the same address information on your Pre-Paid Visa that you use on your Paypal account you can transfer funds from your Paypal to your Pre-Paid Visa just like you would if it was a bank account. The Pre-Paid Visa cards give you the bank name, routing number and account number to match you Pre-Paid Visa. All you have to do is add the Pre-Paid Visa information to your Paypal account under ad new bank account.

  • Thanks Lips!  I signed up with netspend over the weekend.  I could have swore I saw something on their site about funding with your paypal but when I sold something on ebay yesterday I couldn't find the instructions.  I will have to look again and see where I found that.  I always used my paypal debit card with my quicktender but since it is a mastercard it won't work anymore.  I love my debit card so maybe I can figure out how to fund to my pre-paid visa with it.

  • Hiya Bonus,

I just found this out myself! With all the problems now with Mastercard...i hope this is a good alternative for players!!

    Good luck to ya!

  • Thank you lips and good luck to you also.  Did you find it on the netspend website or did I see it somewhere else?

  • Actually someone told me about it and i never actually knew!! I verified it doing some google searches and its true!

  • you do not have to look it up in netspend. Just put in you routing # in pal pay it take 2 or 3 day still to get in there. some times I us my SSI card to put money on it to. some time it is 1.50 but still better them trying to tell a casher how  to do it. lol. It is not so mush on line putting money on as it is loading it at a store.

  • Thanks sweet and Lips!  Great information!  I think I read you have to have money in your paypal account and you have to do it as a withdrawal.  Is this how you understood it?

  • I have PayPal & Visa debit--can a casino withdrawal be sent to my Paypal acct.? I don't use a bank acct.--they to nosey--I have been getting my withdrawals through Western Union, but is expensive.  ???

Casinos use to use paypal, but since the UIGEA went into effect 99.9% of casinos will not pay USA players or take deposits with paypal.

Thanks Tony--I only deposit with my Visa with never a problem--so far!

It's a $#@$%  shame I'm not ALLOWED to spend my own money where I want to spend it!! Gov. needs to get their nose out of personal business!! Big Brother is watching us!! Guess they have nothing better to do! LMAO
  • From what i understand.....by opening another account with Pay Pal through your Prepaid Visa card....It hits that account and not Pay Pals. Its a indirect way and legal way where Pay Pal themselves are not responsible.

Once you have added your new Visa card to your Paypal you can transfer funds to and from just as you would your actual bank account.

You can also fund your Pre-Paid Visa with free Direct Deposit or transfer funds from your bank account to your Pre-Paid Card.

I have not tried this method yet because i use EwalletXpress. If anyone does try it please let us know.

    Supposedly it works.

    Hi Guys,

I have to say one thing for all of you who may want to take a withdrawal now, or anytime in the future.

Make sure you scan all your cards, and keep track of them.

Even if you make a deposit with your Quicktender account, and you have used one or two Visa cards in the past, some casinos require that you give them a scan of ALL cards used, or all used in a certain time frame.

So even though these are throw away cards,  you better make sure you can give them any info they need if they require it.

  • Actually, we lost PayPal capability many years before UIGEA, thanks to Eliot Spitzer, then "savior of NY", now a mere prositute-using, hypocritical man.  I've been with PayPal for 10+ yrs now.

PayPal is not able to touch any gambling money at all, whether it's in or out.

You do not open a "new" PayPal acct to do this.  Just add your credit card as a new bank account.  If you try to open a new PayPal acct, you may have problems with them.

  • How about PayPal to Neteller, Moneybookers and whatever?

Warning: I just found out about this and I DID NOT TRY IT MYSELF YET!

The story goes like this: Since I make my "fun money" via paypal I am looking for a way to put these mere bucks into a casino. There are 2 or 3 paypal casinos available but this cannot be the real deal.

After some googling, I found this: Set up an account with Second Life (www.secondlife.com), set up an account with Virwox ( https://www.virwox.com/buy-linden-dollars.php?language=en) and after some more security stuff you can use this wirvox exchange for everything: paypal to moneybookers, neteller, banking whatever. It is done by exchanging it into Secondlife currency LindenDollars and back to real life currency.

I do not know yet wether it is cheaper than the (annual) costs for a prepaid card (in Germany about 40 US$ for the card without transacarions).

But if you have set it all up, you will feel like a semi-professional in money-laundering and maybe even save some bucks:-)

Like I said before - I have still to wait for my paypal money and couldn´t try it yet. So beware.

  • I sent a paypal transfer for 39.99 on the 25th of February and another on the 26th of February for 77.00.  Paypal shows them as completed.  I noticed on the 1st of March in my netspend account I had two credits.  One for .13 cents and another for .15 cents.   I called them tonight and was told conflicting information.  First, she said they no longer accept paypal deposits.  I then said that's not what your website says and then questioned if they no longer received paypal deposited then what was up with the .13 and .15 cent deposits.  I told her I did not like the fact that my money is just sitting in limbo.  She placed me on hold and came back and said it should take 3-5 business days.  I double checked my paypal transactions and they say funds should be available in 1-3 days.  I will keep you posted because as of today it has been 4 business days for the first transfer.  She also said the day you send it counts as the first business day.  Tomorrow will be the 5th day and if it is still not in there I will be calling them back.  I just wanted to let everyone know my experience so far with transfers to netspend from paypal.  Has anyone else done this yet?  Have you encountered any problems?  How long did it take?  Thanks and again I will keep you posted.

  • I just wanted to update you all on my cash I had in my paypal account that I transferred to my prepaid netspend account.  Today, there was still no money in my account.  Paypal still shows it as completed.  I noticed that under paypal transfers on the netspend site it says 2-3 days.  This is not what I was told last night (was told 3-5 days).  Now I am told that since my name did not match exactly the transfer was declined.  it will take a whopping 6 days to get my money back to my paypal account!!!  >:(

First of all my name for example purposes only on my netspend account is John J Brown and on my paypal account for example purposes only is John Brown.  The only difference is a freaken middle initial.  My address, phone number, email address and everything else matches up.  I questioned why they didn't tell me last night that my transfer was declined and she said because the rep may have been inexperienced.

My question is IF the REAL problem is that my name does not match then why does my account show a paypal deposit for .13 and another for .15?  How can they credit that but not the full amount of over $100 if the name does not match?

Sorry for the ranting.  I am just upset over this.  I hate not knowing where my money is.  I know some of you may try to do a transfer through paypal too I just wanted to tell you my ordeal so you don't go through the crap I am going through.  All because of a middle initial.  Just crazy!!!!  If anyone else has had any problems such as this please respond or if you have had a successful transfer please let me know.

Before I did the paypal transfer I tried to add my paypal debit mastercard to my netspend so I could do instant transfers but it wouldn't pass the registration process.  Now it just came to me that it was probably because of the middle initial. I know others have said that you cannot use paypal to gamble but I have ALWAYS used my paypal debit card until they stopped accepting mastercard.  Even if I didn't have the cash in my paypal account I could still use it and the money would be deducted from my bank account that was linked to my paypal.  Never without problems.  I hope this and my previous post don't come across as the wrong way to you all.  That's not my intention.  You guys are wonderful and I am just trying to help anyone else.  Thanks!  wink

  • Tony...thank you for your help!!!!  I did not know that I had to verify the amounts.  I did do that now.  Should I call netspend again and see if they can update my account now?  I am just frustrated and want my money.  Thanks again for your help!!!

  • I did do that and then I called them again.  They told me the same thing that the name does not match.  They said I have a business paypal account.  Actually when I log onto my paypal it has my legal name at the top but I have an ebay account and I am assuming that is why it is not matching up.  It seems like every time I call them I get a little bit more information than the time before.  They said I will have my money back into my paypal account 6 days from March 1st.  Which will be the 8th...I know the math doesn't add up.  Thanks for everyones help.
