I'm sorry if the way I asked if there was a way to ignore someone on this board wasn't done in the context you'd like. That being said, I didn't threaten or demean anyone in anyway just shared how I felt about the constant condescending and irrelevant quips being added every second post that keep distracting from what I feel are important topics that really should be discussed. I've never been impolite too anyone on this board in the past, nor will I ever make a habit of it on any other boards in the future. I know one person won't make a difference on these boards but this is going to be my last post. Just a warning and the fact that you allow the silly arguments people have on this board distract from a very important discussion is enough to upset me in a way that I really don't feel like sticking around. No need to respond for my sake, I won't be back. I haven't really had too many personal conversations with people on this board...I'm more of a lurker that only posts when I feel necessary. but those I have, thank you.  And especially thank you to Blue! |

Im sorry you feel this way, but your post was inappropriate imo, especially after I asked, in the previous thread, members to refrain themselves from personal attacks. From one of your posts: seriously, is there a way too ignore someone on these boards? If I have to look at another trolling post from DT I think I'm going too puke. Thats why the warning. There's too much to lose and there's ALWAYS going to be those that disagree on a multitude of things. Comments that might have upset you or some have gotten a thank you from another; we're all individuals and as such we all view things differently and THAT'S great! Otherwise, how do we learn?

What I think you should do is maybe lurk some more, and post when you feel it necessary..or not, but stay!  Time heals everything and you can see things from a different view after some time. |

All members need to understand that LCB administration has a very tuff job. Like dt said we are individuals and sometimes opinions will clash, things will heat up and if it there was noone to monitor these boards all hell would break loose. It is okay to have different opinions but sometimes in the heat of the moment we forget that just maybe we went too far. The LCB has always been an open place where every1 was free to post. We wont always agree but thats the beauty of our forum or any other community. As long as we all keep it civil. The LCB is very tolerant place where for the most part members do get along, esp in compare to similar forums outhere. We have very ungrateful job which is to mediate when things get heated, feelings get hurt and when egos kick in. We wont allow our boards to be abused in such way and thats why we can strike as harsh or maybe unfair to some. Let me stress that I'm not here to be liked nor to please every1 as that is not possible. And if some egos get hurt just coz I stepped in and warned few so be it. I would rather take that then to allow personal attacks to escalate. Cheers Zuga |

Perfectly said Zuga and so glad you brought this up. Sometimes we appear as the "bad guy" when trying to bring harmony back to a thread. But i truly feel that among forums we one of the most harmonious ones around.
Life is hard enough sometimes and the last thing any of us want is to come to LCB where we want to catch up on our community and find nothing but stress. All of us work hard to bring the best community possible and so do the members.
Just as there can be a disgruntled player there are disgruntled members and there are cliques for sure. They may come back under a different identity or tag team and think they are fooling us, but they are not. We know exactly who they are.
I guess i will never understand why people will waste such time and energy on trying to pollute a forum. Ya know there is a very fine line between love and hate. And the fact some come back to deliver such negativity is that they know we are the best and somewhere inside them they truly do love LCB.
You never really miss what you had until it's gone.

I will say that there's been a few times I am sure I have hurt some feelings. In exchange, I have also been hurt/annoyed by a response. I just finally shrugged it off and left it alone. It wasn't worth my time to be keeping a wound open and the ones who did the hurt (Which I believe was unintentional) are still here, making the board the place I like it to be.

dear zuga i dont really know what is going on been very ill and in the hospital alot lately almost died even but thats not why i came on i want to say there have been a couple of times we have clashed but we have aways worked it out your guys job isnt an easy one and i wouldnt want it i appreciate what you do for us and this forum so just so you and lips know i do appreciate you and admire the fact that you do so well at keeping your patience with us whoever is leaving goodluck and sorry to see you go

LIPS, I wish I was born without a mean bone in my body like you were. I wish there was an ignore button to block someones messages so I could put myself on ignore. This way I wouldnt be able to read my own posts and I wouldnt get pissed off at myself anymore.

Gunny you have always been wonderful and that is the truth! And let me tell ya it is not easy to bite my tongue sometimes when there is drama on the forum. Behind my laptop on swearing and cussing! But i fight to keep harmony here and i do get feisty at times when it comes to protecting someone in our LCB family. I may appear at times as tough and some may not understand the extent of why. Things happen behind the scenes and there is things that we do not divulge publicly when we step in. But it is always for good reason and for the betterment of our community. Having said that i hope all members realize that when we do appear harsh there is good reason that may not seem so apparent to alot of members. We hope members like yourself put trust in our decisions because we strive to be fair. Lips |
