Taking an extended break

  I have not been on in a while because my PC was down. I have a brand new laptop but i have not downloaded a single casino. I have been working on my twitter page and helping my hubby with his music. I have also been doing a lot of home repair (painting etc). I think the last two straws were the fact that JPC changed its rules and despite how much i deposited at 3 dice or won a tournament i just could not win anything. I have taken a break from gambling and i do not know if i will ever start back.

A lot of people are complaining recently of poor luck at pretty much any and every casino, but I cant help wondering if its probably always been the same.. no disrespect meant, but I'm sure plenty of people are still winning too, though I really hope I'm not giving the casinos more latitude than they deserve on this.. I for one am getting fed up with losing almost every small deposit I make and have started sticking to making fewer, larger deposits, so even if I do go broke, at least I had a decent amount of playtime doing so.

I figured you would see the light when it came to 3dice casino. When we spoke in the past. You weren't to fun of them then. Glad you are taking a break. Online casino is nothing like it used to be, imo. Don't keep giving them your money. When you're up everyone wants to be your pal. But when you're down no one wants to come around.

A suggestion, if you are lying in wait for the 'fun' to return, I would seriously recommend dropping a small deposit and playing minimum bet on some nine liners, like dead or alive, or break da bank again, just for a start.. games that can pay big for very small bets. You'll get a tonne of playtime for just a $20 deposit, and these games are capable of chucking out a $300 hit from those $0.09 bets no problem... just a thought

Oh god, I can sure understand you becoming disilussioned with the online casino scene if you are based in the USA and do not have any legalised casinos in your state as yet.. I do enjoy a few RTG and Rival games but I cannot imagine those being my main platfforms. Without Playtech, Microgaming and Netent, I would not be bothering to play online myself.

chocolateman i doubt if i will be able to lift one foot in front of the other after i am done @wscalley it is very bad for the USA right now (IMO). RTG and the others are just too difficult to keep stomaching for me. I am sure after my break i will get back into the game but for now i am content. I did not reach this decision lightly it has been years coming. I wish everyone luck and look forward to some awesome screenshots  .

I am very proud of you for taking the necessary steps to do what you need.  Throwing money away just makes one cranky, angry and disappointed, to name a few.  Chocolate got it right, casino folks are your friend when you are depositing and doing great and when not....well.

Thanks Gabby it would be nice to find some cheap decorating places because Home Depot is a killer . I too noticed what you guys are saying about the fair weather friends in the online community but i did not let that bother me. I saw right threw the ones that are not what they seemed right away. As far as leaving LCB i will still be here. I have no desire what so ever to play. I was a low roller anyway so it really was not a big adjustment.

Exactly Renee I bet I haven't deposited but a few times the whole year.  The thrill just isn't there anymore. I actually played at a RTG casino last week. I played a couple of Feature Guarantee slots. This is no lie, I got to 90%+ and started the feature wheel. 5 times in a row the wheel landed on lose. I wished I would have recorded it and put it on youtube. 

You are doing the right thing Rena.  If it is not fun anymore, walk away. By the sound of your posts, you are using your time and money more wisely. Would love to see some pics of all the home improvements you are making.

Even though i have no downloaded casinos on my new laptop i did receive an email from winaday casino (no download needed) for $31. It has been a very long time since my last deposit so i PM the rep to see if i could cash out if i play. I saw where they changed the rule so i will not hold my breathe. GL to all who play it.

I just now got caught up in this thread.  It's always good to take a break from time to time.  I took about a 1 month hiatus during the summer.  That way I could focus more on my land based casino play, along with getting a few house projects done.
It's always nice to take a breather from all of the hoops we jump thru just to play online.
Then when I did come back, Desert Nights RTG was converted to Uptown Aces.  They had made all of there offers cashable, along with Slotocash.
When I came back, I had some nice hits from both casinos lately.
Plus I'm actually impressed that Slotocash is now offering a 100% match bonus, that is good on progressive jackpot games as well.  So anywho.
Breaks are always nice, find that house project you've always wanted to do, take up that sewing hobby, or whatever you have put off.  There's always something to replace gambling.

They just did  . I am so tired of the same old thing with these casinos. I am so ready for a land casino to come Atlanta's way it would be so very nice. At least you can go,get paid that day if you win,eat good then go home  >:D.

In my case its not online casinos themselves. Its the same brand over and over that kills me. Like now im tired of going to North Carolina to that 1 casino. Im going to Biloxi next month for variety.

You know honestly, I used to say that a land based casino would be a nice break from online.
Yet I'm finding land based casinos just aren't playing that well these days either.
I really am starting to think it really does have a lot to do with the economy.  I didn't believe for the last year or so.  Yet I really am thinking people are spending less money throwing it at a slot machine or table games. So really it's now a matter of do I want to have no social interaction and play online, or am I am looking to talk to that cute little waitress serving me a drink while playing a machine.  That's really the debate I have when I decide if I'm gambling online or land based for that session.

I agree that less people are throwing many away at these casinos. Everything is taking a hit including Walmart and McDonalds. Gambling has ruined many people lives. Some are just plain tired of being on the losing end of it.

I am cutting down to only 3 casinos and even then i am not going to deposit a lot. I used my bank card to deposit and it has been a nightmare. I did not know that sometimes they wait until days later or they can over charge you  8'|. I am almost over everything to do ith gambling. Just so tired :'(. (note* i did post this at another forum and the rep is looking into it).

Wish me luck! After this upcoming new year I will deposit 20€ per year at casinos. Which means 10€ in 6 months. It looks so tough but this is really my new year resolution.
