Hi Rokko,
No - I don't think it will make too much difference unless the slowness of your computer stops you playing the game as it should be played. Practice practice practice is the key!
I have played skill games at the site you mentioned (which I had to remove) and I don't think the speed of your comp. will make too much difference.

it depends on the game and how much of a factor time is. There is not really a noticable difference between my computer and my girlfriends for game performance at one such site, that said i only play spades on mine not hers and only play swapit on hers not mine. There is a noticable difference in the average score, When playing for money with skilled players how fast you finish is often the difference, many times by seconds.
Play 10 games on your computer, than do the same on a laptop connected through wi-fi, that do the same on the fastest computer with the best connection to web you can find. That will tell you everything you need to know

Uh oh, sounds like investing in a super duper dual quad core monster and a hefty vdsl connection.

YOU NEED IT!!!
just kidding.. but unless you have completely mastered the games you play it can make a difference. By the way some of those skill game sites are filing tax forms for you now. They take the total won from individual tournaments minus the entry fees for just those tournaments and say it is income, regaurdless of if you ever cashed out. Or the fact that winning $2 in anything no matter how many different occasions does not have to be claimed so far as i know.
