Why is it that you can never win the jackpot while playing video poker, I have never ever won with a royal flush at any RTG casino ever.  I have won with a royal flush at other non RTG casinos a lot.  Has any else had this happen?  Also why does it take so long to be paid at a RTG casino when you cash out??  I just want to hear what other players have had happen to them from the United States.  I am not knocking RTG casinos I just want to know why you can never get a royal flush, I play a lot and have spent loads of money too, I should have won at least once by now.  Yes I know that I can just stop playing at RTG casinos but there are not to many other non RTG casinos that take US players.  So I just want to hear what others have to say.  Thanks

Hi kmf0318 and welcome to LCB.

I don't play video poker on RTG so I can't really comment but I'm sure others have played and won royal flushes on RTG's and will surely let you know about it.

As for cashing out and being USA, I don't have any experience to share because I am outside of the US.  Again, I'm positive players will let you know their experiences.

I don't play video poker either but I do play at RGT's...ONLY because there is nowhere else left to play! I agree with you on not hitting jackpots though...while I don't play video poker I do play slots and at the one casino I make my deposits with I've been there 3 years now and deposit 2-4 times a week....not once have I hit a random jackpot and I think I should have by now as much as I play and for how long I've been playing....I once logged in and saw every game I checked out 15-20 different ones and saw that they all were reset back to $1000 which leaves me to believe that they don't hit at all...they just keep getting bigger and bigger and then the casino resets it. I questioned support about it and all they said is "we've had a few randoms hit this weekend". I don't buy it though......

Hey satansmuff,  that is kinda weird.   I notice that at some places too.  (The random jackpot thing)     I don't know about you, but I always had great luck on MG video poker. (When we could play, I'm American)  Man they had a great variety.   3 Dice also has a really good selection if you want more choices.      I hit one random  I think a year ago last January?   Coyote Cash for  almost $2400.    Nothing since. @#$%

Hi kmf,

I have played Video Poker at the RTG casinos but i find i have had more luck on multi-hand machines. I usually play 50 hand Video Poker and think its more exciting then single hand. I have won the Royal Flush on VP but it was on multi-hand.

My best hand was being dealt four of a kind and getting paid on all paylines. I was dealt four 3's with a chance to get the kicker on the other lines.

Royal Flushes are never easy to get, online, offline or at the tables. The odds to get one are staggering with something like 40,000 to one. Some casinos don't pay as much either for the RF therefore it hits more often and i never could understand why they pay less.

Just like the straight flush worth only 250 credits. Who ever made up these rules anyway!

I've been playing Video Poker at RTG casinos for 11 yrs, and I can assure you they hit Royals, better than any other online software.  Cool  I have at least several dozen screenshots of my online Royals.  I've always preferred the way RTG VP plays because it plays the most similarly to IGT in the land casinos.

As far as cashing out, you have to watch what RTG you're playing at, but I've never had a prob cashing out, either.

That's funny because I never seem to do well at the RTG video poker, don't know why.  To be fair,  I have been focusing more on the slots at RTG in the last couple years and not playing much VP.   However I still like playing it. Microgaming was always very lucky.   Like Lips,  I prefer the multi-hand.  I liked the 50.   One time I drew into
4 Aces  on Aces and Faces ($5.00) bet for 2G's.  That was pretty cool.  My biggest single lick on VP at  Roxy Palace.

I hit a royal flush playing one hand, $.50 for $2000.  That was at Club World.  I go to land casinos quite a bit and mostly play video poker.  They don't hit there often either.  Like lips said odds are 1 in 40,000 or 45,000 to hit a royal flush.

Yeah, statistically  the payback and odds are the best for the player (if they know what they are doing)  on video poker, craps, and blackjack.   On video poker,  especially the multi-hand,  you can nearly get at least your money back on almost every hand.   (Once again, there is some degree of strategy involved.

hello,

i have to say, video poker is my game.  i have hit so many royals it is such a wonderful blessing.  but i agree the ones on RTG are few and far between.  I actually did hit one this past month, and had to look at it about 10 times, cuz i could not believe it.  I do hit many , many straight flushes.

Aside from the "Large" hits, you can do very well on RTG video poker, and I really think it is one of the best ones for me, only second to Microgaming.

Keep trying, they are out there!  Smiley  suny

Hi kmf0318, welcome to the LCB forum... I had just read your post about Royal Flushes at RTG casinos and then went back to my playing at Slots Jungle thinking that it is true for me too, they are very few and far between... but then as luck would have it I got one! Of course it had to happen when I was playing 100 hands for a penny a hand... but here is a pic to show they do have them  Laugh out Loud Laugh out Loud

Very nice Katt.   What a bummer you only had 1c per hand but it is nice to see.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Katts!

I have always plays strickly one hand, and usually 2 dollar, or sometimes if i feel crazy 5, but 2 hits the best, and have walked out with many 8000. royals.  My question to you is, and I am not trying to sound like a jerk, but do these 100 plays every put you ahead?  I would like to try them, but cannot really see them?  hahahahah.  I have played the 10 played on occasion when I am down to my last 10. or something like that, I could bring you back up to something playable. But that it the ONLY thing I use it for.  I personally think its a ploy to take our money faster.

Hey suny... I have to say yes it does pay... I go out of my mind playing one hand, just not enough action and when I plays I plays, but when I sits I falls asleep...  Laugh out Loud

I just throw in my $5 and usually build my bankroll back up to $30 or $40 then go lose it instantly on something else. But, except for an occasional slip of the brain I only play one credit per hand like I was last night. So I pay $1 for 100 chances to get good hands. Don't really lose that much more than playing one hand with a bigger bet...

I also have a rule about gambling the winnings on double or nothing... I only play that if I have won less than 50% of my bet on a hand. Anything more than 50% I collect... works for me... I usually do this when I am down to about $10 and want to stretch my playtime...

Oh, forgot this... every time my winnings in the game go over my original $5 investment I cash out then put the $5 in again but keep the winnings in my bankroll... if I leave it in the active game I will spend it down to the nub...

Last thing is I always play it with Double Double Bonus Poker.
good luck if you try it!

yeah, thanks...i would go crazy too.   i am more in it for the action, than the money.
not that money is a bad thing...i just really love that adrenaline rush.

so i get very impatient, sometimes, when i just want to play play play, know what i am saying?

i usually switch between aces and eights, and double double, depending which one starts to slow, unless i get mad at it, then it is me against the machine...its then i really should know to shut it off, but definatley can't.  oh wellllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!  what other fun do i have....hehe....

i am going to try one of those large hands, just for the hell of it, maybe a 50 if they have it, so i wont have to wait so long!  hahahaha  Cool
