New in the online casino world, any suggestions?
« on: May 21, 2011, 04:55:49 AM »
Hi there,

I'd like to open a casino account but first I'd like to know your opinion guys. From your experience, what's the best casino and why? Also, for beginners, what do you think is the best game?

Nowadays, I live in Canada so I haven't been affected by the latest restrictions and I'm planning to spend between $100 or $200 a week?

Thanks.

Hi Fefefamo,

Firstly, welcome to LCB.

I woud suggest that you try some of the free chips available on sign up - you can find some great deals in the Exclusive no deposit bonuses section.

Have you gambled anywhere before now?

Do you like a particular software i.e. Microgaming, Rival, RTG or do you not have any experience at all?

I don't want to merrily recommend casinos if you don't like a particular software.

Do not spend a dime anywhere online until you are familiar with the policies of each casino you plan to do business with.

Ask questions: what is a method of deposit through credit card or ewallet.  Is there a wagering requirement on simple deposits (some may require you to play the value of the deposit: example: $100 deposit--to cashout you have to make $100 of bets first.)

Cashouts: am I required to send in goverment issued ID and a utility statement first?  How long does a cashout take? 24 hours 48 hours, 1 week or more?  Is there a fee for cashouts like the 3.75% on UseMyWallet?

Honesty of games.  What are the payout percentages?  Does the casino have a 3rd party audit to ensure fairness?  Does the casino have a good reputation among other bettors? How about rankings at casino watchdogs? Complaints?

Customer service-does the casino have an online chat service or phone number where a rep can answer your questions?  Are the reps polite and prompt?

HI.  I LIKE THE GRAND EAGLE CASINOS ALOT, BUT ...GIBSON CASINO { its a rival software casino } WAS THE BEST PAYOUT FOR ME BACK IN DECEMBER!!!  THEY OFFER $250.00 NO DEP BONUS, I THINK IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, IT SAID 250 VIP ND BONUS, AND THE MAX CASHOUT ON IT WAS $2000.00  NOT OFTEN DO YOU GET A CASHOUT THAT HIGH WITH A NO DEP BONUS.  I PLAYED GAME CALLED OCEAN TREASURE, MET THE PLAYTHROUGH, AND HEE HAW...CAHED OUT AT THE 2000.00 MARK. IT WAS AWESOME!!!YOU DO HAVE TO MAKE A MIN. DEP OF 25.00 IF YOU ARE GOING TO CASHOUT AND I HAD MY DOUBTS, BUT I DEPOSITED USING ECHECK, JUST THE 25.00, AND THEN REQUESTED MY WITHDRAWEL FOR 2025.00.  WITHIN 2 DAYS, GIBSON DEPOSITED IT INTO MY ECHECK ACCT, AND 24 HRS. LATER, ECHECK DEPOSITED INTO MY BANK ACCT.  ECHECK DOES TAKE A FEE, BUT IT WAS VERY SMALL, LIKE $20, MAYBE $30.   AND ECHECK IS A SAFE AND RELIABLE WAY TO GO.  ANY WAY, THAT WAS PRETTY DAMN COOL!!  I HAVE ALSO CASHED OUT AT GRAND EAGLE WHEN I FIRST OPENED AN ACCT WITH THEM LAST  YEAR ON A NO DEP BONUS.  CASHOUT WAS 500 MAX AT THAT TIME WITH A ND BONUS, BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO DEPOSIT ANYTHING TO CASHOUT.  I THINK THEY MAY HAVE CHANGED ND BONUS CASHOUT LIMITS TO $250 NOW, BUT STILL PRETTY GOOD DEAL CONSIDERING ITS FREE MONEY IF YOU WIN, PLUS I LOVE THE GAMES THERE.  GOOD LUCK WITH WHEREVER YOU PLAY!!!!

Great advice all!

Check the English Harbour group.  Not necessarily to deposit but they have free tournaments all the time.  English Harbour everyday and the sister casinos have week long tournies.

And... Welcome! :)

As said before, check out the 'no deposit' codes and play with their money to see what you like.  Remember, you can only use one free chip and then you must deposit before you claim another freebie.  Most casinos will let you cash out on a free chip, but there is a cashout limit.

Hello and welcome to LCB boston.  Congratulations on a great win.  I bet you were pleased as punch to receive that.

By the way, please take your caps lock off as it is considered "shouting" when you type in caps.  Thanks

My advice is to to conduct a search on "blacklisted or rogued" casinos.  Many of the same names will appear like GoldVIPclub, CoolCat, Mighty Slots, etc. Also check out Gamblinggrumbles.com to see recent complaints on posted casinos.  Do not play at these kind of sites because you'll go thru alot of stress and worry if you win.  Also, don't fool for huge bonuses...they lure you in for a reason.

Read the casinos terms and conditions.  If they don't work on Fridays, but take your deposit, there's something wrong.  Learn by other's mistakes and what they have reported as you don't want to fall into the same trap they did.  Also, make sure you read about people winning and getting paid with no problem.  Many casinos appear to be reputable because they pay, but there are very few winners.  Find a place where people are winning and the casino is paying them.

My suggestion is to not live in the USA if you want to gamble online, but hopefully that will change.  Keep an eye out on the posts here to get the best advice you can on a timely basis.

The best casino community ever, thanks guys.

Your tips have been really helpful. Casino world was a mystery for me. I've been trying some no deposit bonuses and as soon as I find a good casino  I will make a deposit.

I know, of course, that I won't make money. I just want to have fun and don't lose my deposit in a couple of hours.

Thanks again.
