Jimbeaux..you don't know how great that CCleaner is..and you know what the "C" stands for??  it is Crap..this is for real.  Crap cleaner.  Funny, huh.

Anyway, thanks a million, system runs so much better.  And the IE8?? Stupidity, I guess.  That I did first, because I saw it on my updates page, and really didn't read it over.  I thought mine was out of rev., so I just downloaded the latest one.

BIG MISTAKE!!!  I still have some problems, but can live with them.  At least it is running now.

I don't think I need firefox.  Now that I reinstalled IE7 I think it should be ok.
What do you think?

Nalgenie,

Mozilla's Firefox is a quarter the size of IE, has none of the bugs, and is what inspired 90% of the "new" features that are in IE 7 & 8. Add to that that it is unaffected by 80% of all the viruses, spyware and malware that is designed to specifically target IE and you can see why I use it.

Face it, chasing chips has you running down some pretty unsavory internet alleys. Spyware, keyloggers, spam Phishers, and out and out Idententity thieves abound.
Anything that gives you an edge is useful.

That said, I still have IE installed on my comp, but it is solely for Explorer updates and occasionally needed to access some of the poorer sites that do not recognize anything else. The best part is it is free...

Do the download and give it a shot.

See if those "problems" you can "live' with don't disappear. Just the fact that you are used to Living with the problems means you have been well trained by Microsoft to accept second class performance and service.

No, it means I have had a very hard life, and pretty resiliant.  I just don't let many things bother me any more.

It would be nice to have things run smooth, and I do appreciate the help though.

I use that CrapCleaner everyday, and I can't believe what a difference it makes.

One of my casinos also mentioned to me to download firefox, but at that time, I could not do anything.  Now that my computer is working again, and you think I should do it too, I will try it.

Thanks, Nal Lips Sealed
