unless you know what you are doing, i would not suggest you mess with regedit. besides rival files are hidden, i cannot remember what the heck the are put under, because i can't even find them myself, but it is not the usual "rival" it is imbedded. i only have two simple suggestions. i have had problems before, maybe it will help, maybe not, but i leave nothing out when i am loosing my mind. 1. turn off the anti-virus. 2. check your task manager and see if you have the game running more than once. if you do, hit the end process button and get rid of one. better yet, get rid of both of them and reinstall the software, and you should be good to go. this has happened to me occasionally on other softwares also, but mostly rival. if you hit the button too many times, and it starts instaling on more than one occasion, then you have too many running, and the game will not execute. see if this works. good luck. jb.

I've turned off the antivirus and SONAR *still* won't let me download Vegas Techs!
The instructions here for regedit are very easy to follow. I've used them before. The rivals may be listed under something else but once you find them, they all are easy to spot as their names are right there. Always create a backup first or restore point when messing in regedit!

it is very easy to delete files in regedit chilly, the problem is the solution is permanent, and some of the non reputable casino, and other softwares for that matter hide their "CRAP" in a lot of important files that you NEED. a perfect example of this is AOL if anyone has ever had AOL, you know exactly what i mean. you can never fully get rid of it, know matter how many unistalls you do, they imbed it in so many of your important files, and if you go into the regedit doc and delete when it says to delete all other involved files, it also wipes out your documents where these are. trust me...and i am a geek

I had no problem deleting all of my rtg files last year. I'm not a geek, but have worked as IT support for a community college, just by reading the darn directions. I just followed the directions here. But I won't try to go deleting files trying to fix my vegas tech problem.

I don't believe it(problem downloading)has anything to do with either regedit or Norton and if Sonar system detect one of the casino, all you have to do is to restart the comp and before you do anything, turn off the anti virus for 15 min and retry downloading the casino... It has everything to do with your tools-internet options!

gosh, I've tried it all. clear cache, etc...shut down norton, restart, turn it off, but I might try again. I did just discover the English Harbor tourneys can be played online, and that's really the only one I was interested in right now, so I'm good if I can make it into a free tourney. Well, I'll let everyone know if I ever can successfully download one of these casinos, or Crazy Slots. I've had them before. Now, they get 3 steps into the download then disappear from sight. So I know I've got pieces of them all over the place!
