alisha47 - thank you for the basics on how to play blackjack
i'm just going to add, more so for the advanced players who are new to playing blackjack online...be forewarned...no matter what anyone tells you the way you are use to seeing the cards unfold is no way near to the way it does online...and here's why...
Things to know about playing blackjack online;
- there is no shoe - which means
- no cut card
- no end of shoe marker
- first card does not get burned
- new shuffle for after each hand or round for multiple hands
- that ace of spades the dealer got for his blackjack is available
again next hand
- when it indictates 1, 3, 5, 6, or 8 decks of cards - remember there
is no shoe and its a new shuffle everytime no matter how many
decks
- in my opinion to properly simulate a playing blackjack the system should be able to produce and keep record of the exact order of the cards immediately after the shuffle and before any cards is dealt out. Then once cards have been dealt and play is now over - the order of how the cards unfolded should also be recorded along with the remaining order of the cards had they been completely dealt out. This way..at anytime... a player or a company like
ecogra, should be able to verify the integrity of the game had been maintained by comparing the order of the cards prior to them being played to the order of the cards as they were dealt out.
unfortunately i don't believe this concept is used for any of the online blackjack applications which means we have trust or not trust that a 7 was always there face down under the dealer's card showing a 4.
until the concept or something similar that i have above is implemented i will never have confidence nor trust playing blackjack online...that's just me...i tried and tried..only to wish the dealer was an actual person that i could punch out for the next time i hear him say "dealer wins"
