3x 100% is NOT 300%

I joined a scratchcards site and they sent me an email saying that I had been chosen for a great 300% bonus. So I deposited $25, expecting $75 bonus. Instead I got $25 bonus and I emailed them , only to be told that the "300%" bonus is in fact 3 separate 100% bonuses. That is NOT 300%!! I have seen a few casinos try and pull this stunt, just got an email from Scratchmania telling me I can get 250%, which is 2 125% bonuses. I was so annoyed when this happened, I think it is misleading and WRONG.

It seems misleading but I guess you have to read the fine print before making a deposit, was that info available in the terms and conditions somewhere?

Yes, it probably was, but if someone says you have a 300% bonus, why would I assume it was anything but a 300% bonus?

I must admit that in the last year or so I have become a bit more lax with reading terms and conditions, which is bad. I guess after playing for 3-4 years, I have come to assume that I know most of the important things to look for like wagering, included games and max cashout and I don't tend to read much else - I used to spend hours looking at this stuff.

They did make it sound like a special bonus and when you go to their promo page, a 300% bonus is not listed, just the once-off 100% up to $200, so I couldn't find any more information about the bonus I was offered easily.

The email I got says :

Very misleading tactics.  You will see this a lot and all you can do is double check before you make your deposit.  Sorry you didn't spot it before you deposited.

I guess it's a lesson learned then, advertising does involve a bit of lying most times. I always try to read the fine print even if it's time-consuming.

That's why this forum is so great.  People come here to report good, bad, and ugly about casinos.  It is so helpful to the people who read it.

absolutely, medtrans! I would be lost without the helpful people on this forum. Even if I don't post that much, I do read the forum before trying new casinos etc, it is an invaluable source of information.

I made account in these side, i get 7€ no neposit. I played and win almoust 400€. Then i was talking in the chat about deposit and withdraw, everyone wash very nice and i get good support help.
I asked would be a problem to the withdraw because i had my driverlicence my old last name ( surname ) but i have official document for my name change.
They answer that if i got the document that should be a problem.
Then i make a deposit played needed wagering and make withdraw 200€.
I send all the document´s 3 times before i getting answer that my account was closed and my money has been transfer away from me.
I try to ask them an email and chat and nobody answer me. The chat close the side when i askd for the reason...
Every else my card i had my last name right.
So they took my money, even the deposit.
Don´t ever deposit anything in this side!!!!

Thank you for letting our members know about this! Spread the word enough about shady advertising and when they get no takers maybe they will learn their lesson. Why not be honest and say exactly what it is? Once players realize what the terms are they have lost all faith in the Casino and never go back. Is this the type of reputation they really want? I don't get it.........

That is just crap all the way around. I never use bonuses but if i did i would be very mad at a scheme like this. Thanks guys for the warning >:(

Obviously that false advertising didn't give the results they intended since they closed MegaMoneyGames in April 2013

As I have seen, most casinos advertise the cumulative bonus for 2,3 or more consecutive deposits. Maybe not cool on their side, but they usually do post that it is actually more than one bonus involved, meaning you have to make more than one deposit in order to get it. It would be really bad if they didn't make it clear in advance...

Yes, many casinos have such cumulative offers, but they label it "welcome package" or "...bonus on first x deposits" so thats pretty ok to me. If you call it simply "welcome bonus", than its a lie, not a marketing trick anymore.
